Ok, just some lame questions from a guy who hasn’t seen the game, but watched the thread

Question #1 if the OL is so bad, then how did TG average over 6 yards per carry.

Question #2 If TG had a 6 yard average, then why only 12 carries?

Question #3 Does McVay have enough patience to run when it’s working?

Observation: There is something we are not being told. I can’t believe McVay would be this stubborn/stupid, do you?

Yeah - Gurley clearly is on a pitch count. A dude doesn't go from a 300 touch 20 td plus workhorse to a 12-15 carry guy just on a whim.

Just fucking stop and use logic for a moment.
I’ve never said it was a whim ... it’s because he can’t he carry the ball 25-30 times a game .. he used to be our biggest weapon

Why would we if he was 100 healthy not use him the same way as last year (early on in the season ) before we sign CJ

We can't blame the refs. If we do it completely dismisses the Rams win in the NFCCG. Part of being a champion is overcoming bad referee calls.

There are so many reasons why we lost.

That is not to say we didn't have atrocious calls go against us.

You don’t remember like half the games Gurley would go off then not touch the ball for another 2 quarters in multiple games and remember he was a factor in the passing game too now Goff rarely looks to him. It’s been plenty of times Gurley would be having a great game and then get 3 carries in 2 quarters

For two seasons Gurley averaged 25 plus touches a game... all the sudden the end of last year (same time as injury rumors) and this year he getting like 10-15.

I'm not talking 2 quarters or a game here and there... Thats a huge huge difference.

How some of you can think that's just happenstance to his game plan at the moment... is bewildering.

The more I See, the less impressed I am with McVay and the more pissed I am that Goff is our QB for years to come.

Give Gurley 20 plus carries in back to back games let the fans see that he need to be on a pitch count.

This is 90% McVay being stubborn/overthinking and 10% Gurleys health. He’s turning into Martz or should I say he has turned into Martz already. In 2017 and early 2018 we were a physical football team. We now let other teams dictate to us.

That’s exactly my point .. the reason he doesn’t touch the ball again is because HE CANT SO WHAT HE DID LAST YEAR

He isn’t a bell cow running back anymore .. he cannot physically run the ball 25-30 times a game

Dude I give up.. everyone thinks they smarter than McVay even though its so fucking obvious why they aren't using Gurley as much.

You are focusing on the running game which is the main argument on why it was abandoned in the first place. OL in the running game and OL in the passing game were different. You can say Gurley improved his running game to make up for the lack of OL.

Logic tells me that McVay doesn’t stick to the run even when it’s working not only does logic tell me that but Game film and history tells me that. And Honestly I think this whole knee thing is the perfect excuse for McVay to throw the ball so he don’t have to keep answering questions about abandoning the run game like he was getting last year and the year before that.
The guy was our biggest offensive threat this game and he just magically disappears lol.
Please just think about that for a second ...McVay is a smart dude .. would he really abandon the run if that was the best way to win the game...or is it because our beat offensive weapon isn’t the same player anymore

Well, we can write off Henderson
4 carries, 4 yards

And didn’t look “explosive”

Yup. Obviously has nothing to do with an offensive line that couldn’t block The cheerleaders.

You can’t pretend you are something you are not.
The Rams OL just is not good enough. It has not been fixed and won’t be this year.
Dallas, Chicago, Seattle, SF, Baltimore....all strong D fronts. Hard to see those going well.
The sad thing is there are pretty limited options to fix it going forward.
That was pretty much a must win game for the Rams and they stunk.
The O put up three freaking points.
Three.
Amazing the Steelers pass game could look better than the Rams.
Rams got away from the run (as usual) when that was actually working for once.
Havenstein should not come back this year.
He has been a disaster wont be able to block any speed rusher going forward this year. He was helpless against Watt all day.
McVay.....summoning his inner Martz....largely refused to give him help.
The Rams needed to be at 7-3 to hit the stretch of the schedule to have a strong shot at a playoff spot.
That’s pretty much over.
There were serious questions about the OL going into to the season. Those have been answered firmly.
Now with injuries it’s sort of hard to find the wins the rest of the way.
Some questionable calls on this game but the Rams just are not good enough right now.
Not this week.
Not this year.
I would keep Corbett and Edwards and maybe Shelton in and see if they can play or not.

Yeah 25 touches is running and catching not rushing. And it wasn’t 1 or 2 games when McVay stopped running the ball it was all year long. You can’t tell me that you can keep him out to block and not let him rush that don’t make sense and it don’t pass the smell test cause if he was on a pitch count then he shouldn’t be out there blocking 30 plays a game

You think Gurley would go from being a league MVP type to just taking 10-15 touches and not say one fucking word?

No way.

If McVay has any courage, he needs to spend 5 to 10 minutes laying into this officiating crew. This wasn't just a bad reffed game. It was a bad reffed game that intentionally favored one side. Both of the Steelers' TDs were blown calls. They called a number of ticky tack DPIs and then ignored the blatant DPI on 4th down in the endzone. Their defender fumbled the interception on the fake punt, and we recovered. They stole our interception of Rudolph with one of the worst DPIs I've ever seen.

This was a screwjob. And the NFL League Office did nothing to stop it. For as much as I love NFL football, games like this make me consider never watching again.

Let's not forget that the interception they stole from us came on the drive where they scored the TD to Washington (another blown call). Literally, the only TDs the Steelers scored would not have occurred had the refs not blown the calls. The offense was shit today, but we would have won this game with a ref crew that wasn't actively aiding the Steelers.

McVay has gotten away from the run game every year he’s been here. Go back and watch the Falcons playoff loss and tell me that’s not McVay abandoning the run until it was too late. And now he’s using Gurley’s knee as an excuse for poor play calling. It’s pathetic.
