Because McVay have a track record of doing exactly that. He abandons the run game out scheme himself it’s a terrible habit of his

dude no way man... the first two years Gurley was the focus of his offense - then late last year we hear these whispers about how Gurley has arthritis in his knees, and he stops getting many touches. That's just a coincidence I guess...

But we are going to somehow think that somehow McVay totally decided to stop using Gurley, even though its all he did for 2 years.

C'mon its obvious.

Sean McVay offense is remarkably a twin of Martz in how he cannot adjust his play calling to the team he has instead of the team his offense needs.

This is the first time I have thought about the Rams moving on from Goff and McVay. I hate this style of play.

Fat lady sang loud today. See ya next year Rams!
I said the same to my son about mcvay and goff.I wouldn't mind seeing them replaced.Ive had and seen enough.

Yeah - Gurley clearly is on a pitch count. A dude doesn't go from a 300 touch 20 td plus workhorse to a 12-15 carry guy just on a whim.

Just fucking stop and use logic for a moment.
Logic tells me that McVay doesn’t stick to the run even when it’s working not only does logic tell me that but Game film and history tells me that. And Honestly I think this whole knee thing is the perfect excuse for McVay to throw the ball so he don’t have to keep answering questions about abandoning the run game like he was getting last year and the year before that.
The guy was our biggest offensive threat this game and he just magically disappears lol.

Mc Vay is taking the ball out of his hands

You know, I could say I told you so about keeping Rodger Saffold before Free Agency, which I think created a domino effect on the Oline. If he had been here, Boom would have been playing RG, which would have helped Havenstein.....Doeesn't matter now, cuz the Oline is broken. I have thought Kromer was brilliant before this season, but is he really. We had to win this game and didn't. I'm hoping we win as many games as possible, but the hole is too deep now for the playoffs.

Ah well, the good thing about depression is that you get your rest.

As others have said, my main vent is not having Gurley play through most of the 4th quarter with the game on the line.

I understand he is on a pitch count, but with the season on the line it makes absolutely no effen' sense to save him for later on in the season. Later on in the season is now!

Thing about McVay he will let everyone blast him and take the heat for Gurley's health plan.

What game were you watching? Seriously?

Gurley looked the best he had all year. Had 72 yards on 12 carries thru 3 quarters and then doesn’t touch the ball once on the final 4 drives. Gurley was completely fine and McVay crapped the bed, **again**.
That’s exactly my point .. the reason he doesn’t touch the ball again is because HE CANT SO WHAT HE DID LAST YEAR

He isn’t a bell cow running back anymore .. he cannot physically run the ball 25-30 times a game

Rams scored 3 points on offense today. This is the same team that did zero against SF at home on offense.

Genius mcvay looks like a flash in the pan
He needs to hire an offensive coordinator. Some of the things he does are maddening. And have you noticed how he either doesn't run at all or he runs in bad situations? They'll throw on 1st and 10 and then run up the gut after an incomplete pass.

Also WHAT IS WITH THE SCREENS AND RUN PLAYS ON 3RD AND LONG?!

with this o-line we wouldn't have made it to the playoffs - sadly this season is over that early.

You don’t remember like half the games Gurley would go off then not touch the ball for another 2 quarters in multiple games and remember he was a factor in the passing game too now Goff rarely looks to him. It’s been plenty of times Gurley would be having a great game and then get 3 carries in 2 quarters

I for the life of me can't figure out why we don't dink and dunk more. It would protect the terrible o-line and Goff. Yet we continue to try to run these long developing plays. Also what happened to the wr sweep plays? They randomly disappear for weeks.

He was perfectly fine today and could have gotten at least another 8-10 carries. Easily.

I said we needed to get online help way prior to the trade deadline. So let's say Snead tried and couldn't that's fair.

Cut to we are on the bye it was McVays job to know that those two games ATL/Cincy are not true indicators of the team.

McVay had to know just look at our running stats, Jareds stats we are no where near last year and why the oline PERIOD.

I said we must change up the offense slightly to accommodate our weak oline. I said keep a TE and RB in, I said more designed rollouts to avoid the pressure, I said deeper drops more than 7 steps like Machines and Rodgers do. I said maybe we change up the online lineup slightly Blythe to Center and Corbett to LG the least best option.

McVay needs to take blame WHY because it looked exactly the same offense before the BYE.

What the fuck was he doing on the BYE?
