Great post, and I remember while Austin Davis and Shaun Hill were making some plays, it was their turnovers late in the game that absolutely killed this Rams team. Foles may not be playing well right now, but to say he is losing us games is absurd. Team sport, people.

He's not losing us games, but he's not winning them either.

I hate the Rams, every time they give me hope they turn around and snatch it away! I should know better by now...

Fisher's a .500 coach and will always be.
Cignetti has focused so much on getting Tavon his touches that he's forgotten the most basic offensive plays: quick slants, curls, draw plays and RB screens.
Our offensive playbook can be written down on a napkin, it's pretty pathetic.
D-line not being able to sack the QB without Quinn and Long.
There's just so much blame to be thrown around but it HAS to start with the coaching staff.

crap happens, and Joyner isn't a dirty player, even if the announcer, with the purple shirt, says it 1000x. That being said, I hope he's OK. I wish you guys luck, and I wish we both would have had better games today. I wish the refs were better today too. They were horrible, all around.
I just heard an interview with Joyner about the topic and I do believe he just got lost in the moment, it still sucks. I agree the refs constantly were interfering with the game with inconstant calls/no calls.

Cheers,
SKOL

Two almost even teams...home team gets the calls and the win.

Also this lack of offense is maddening! They are just completely inept even with Gurley. Its disgusting to watch!

Re-watching some plays right now.

The offensive line was not good. And they are definitely still in the bottom half the league. But we had two starters out today, there has been zero continuity on account of all our injuries, we were on the road, and Minnesota's defensive line is quite good. Compare the offensive line's performance in this loss to the one in Green Bay. World of difference. The Browns and 49ers are meh so I was waiting until this game to say it: the o-line is most definitely continue to improve. Foles still needs more time but the protection was not awful. I don't think our lack of running games had nearly as much to do with poor run blocking as it did with Minnesota stacking the box.

When is the last time Gurley was hit in the backfield? That was happening every carry against Pittsburgh, and Mason fared no better against Washington.

That is the one silver lining for me. This game at least showed the line is indeed improving.

You guys have a pretty good team. I don't think Foles is the answer at QB however. And you need someone else beside Austin and Gurley to step up. You just won't win that way.

BTW, how did you like our over rated defense?
Vikings are overrated. The Rams offense just sucks.

Ogletree, Long, Quinn, McDonald. We had over 1/3 of our starting D out of the game and still played a close game. But since this is a vent thread, that mofuggin' Cook dropped another goddamn pass. Shit!

I'm glad this is the vent thread. How did you like our defense? How about LaMarcus Joyner? Big fan of his?
Your defense is not bad. You had a couple of starters out as did we. Joyner? Don't think he is a dirty player, just a late hit. It happens. Lot's of penalties called and not called on both sides. Well more called on the Rams. Couple of those 5 yards offside penalties killed you though.

I'll just pull that QB out of my magic starting QB hat.

5 starters.

He doesn't need to win us games. That is what Gurley, Austin, and our Defense is for. You can bet your ass our Defense will put this game on themselves, especially since they didn't recover back to back fumbles by Peterson.

I'm not saying I agree with the method, but that is the kind of football Fisher expects to play. Foles does need to significantly improve his 3rd conversion rate though.

unreal, you all realize that our Oline and our WRs are not very good right? did Foles drop that long pass to TA? does he have any time when he goes back to pass? not saying Foles is blameless but he is not as bad as his Oline and WRs make him look.
We got a penaltynon the Tavon play. But he missed a lot of open receivers. Receivers were not nearly the problem

Here I thought Gurley and Austin were going to kill the Vikings. Austin had a good day. Gurley not so much. But then I was told no one could stop him. I warned you guys not to look at the overall Vikings run defense but to look at the trend since the Niners game. Gurley managed 3.7 a carry. Right in line with what the Vikings have been giving up the last 6 games.

What I see the Rams need. QB other than Foles. Another WR to take the heat of of Austin. Another RB, again to take some heat off of Austin and Gurley. Mason won't cut it. And some one else to help return punts. Putting way to much on Austin.
