I doubt we will see Evans in there again after today.
I sure as shit hope so. Even my Wife, whom I converted to football and the Rams a few years ago could see it.

She asked who else could they put in? I was at a loss for words.

Offense is struggling, but this is the same defense that lost us the Super Bowl against the patriots. Except we’re not just playing prevent in the 4th quarter, we’re playing it every down. This is how the patriots got into field goal range to beat us in the Super Bowl. And Brady’s team did it again. But this time, every team in the nfl is doing it.
The defense lost a Superbowl for a team that scored only 3 points?
This offense is arguably as bad as any Rich Brooks/Spagnolo/Fisher mess.
16 ppg with the best WR in the game

One thing I noticed were the eyes of Aaron Donald on the sideline. He never quits on the field, but he looked sad watching the shyte show this year. He can't control Bobby Evans being a turnstyle. He can't control how soft our corners play the opposing WR's. I wonder if he feels like it's 2015 all over again....
2016 was the middle school offense year

My favorite play of the game was Bobby Evans letting Vea right bye him and then taking the "I am an OL without anyone to block" Stance. Vea Crushes Stafford, then Evans turns around and rushes back and picks up Stafford.
When Nsekhe came in and did well when Jacksonwent out for a few plays, I was hoping they were going to keep Nsekhe in at LOT, and put Jackson in at LOG. But no, we had to watch Evans stink up the joint all game.

Yeah I kept rewinding the game showing Evans blocking ability and my wife was just shaking her head at how bad he was

there was no way he was getting the 1st down... go ahead and rewind it on the DVR

their were 2 dudes right there... they would have hit him out of bounds and the clock would have stopped.

people shouldn't always listen to the announcers.
Could have gotten a lot closer

So agree.... I was thinking the same thing looked like a thought bubble over his head saying I came back for this should have retired on top money or no money.

This looks like a team that was satisfied to win it all last year. Everyone seems to have an eye on retirement and there seems to be no real fight out there - coaches and players alike.

Rams had 3 drives in 4th Q, all 3 were 3 and out, burned off only 5 minutes of clock and gained a total of -5 yards while giving Tampa Bay average starting field possession at their own 40 yard line
Absolutely atrocious.
No team wins a game with that ineptitude

I don't get the Evans bullshit it's obvious he is the weakest link by a mile. Whats the insistence of continuing to play him where is obushi, skura, tackling dummy, traffic cone?

I mean, there has to be a practice squad player on some team better than Evans. What are they looking at? It is puzzling. Evans is as good as he will ever be and it's clear he is not an NFL player. It seems almost cruel to leave him out there.

McVay has had weeks to tweak the offense. Clearly the offensive line and running backs are a liability but on the rare occasion they establish any sort of running game he goes to the pass.

They could not protect Stafford who was erratic anyway. But admit you can't protect him and design more quick passes. Something.

The offense contributed to this loss more so than the defense did. The defense did it job damn near all game but couldn't hold up in the end and I will agree the scheme contributed heavily to that.

But the offense can't get a first down to save their lives much less score consistently. McVay continues with his terrible play calling and hard headed commitment to the 11 personnel. He needs a creative offensive coordinator who deploys multiple personnel packages and can get a run game going. The offensive failures are on McVay and I can't see him getting out of his own way. I hope the media rips him for this pathetic excuse of an offense. This is some Rob Boras, high school, bullshit offense.

Ninja edit: And I completely understand we're completely decimated on the OL. But McVay is responsible for the neglect year over year on it as well. Why the hell is Bobby Evans playing?

The defense did it's job though in the end. With 1:24 left they stopped them basi what on the 5 or 8 wteva that should be game. How many times can we send them out there realistically with no pass rush they aren't machines Tex. 3 three and outs in the 4th quarter so just the 4th alone the defense gassed let alone the rest of the game. The offense couldn't give them any rest at all. It's literally pop Warner.

McVay has NO killer instinct and his "too cool for school" attitude trickles down to all the coaches and players as well. No fire in their bellies.

Many of us saw the writing on the wall even last year. We scraped by on talent last year... winning by 3 points in the SB and 2 playoff games prior.... McVay played not to lose in all of those games. We have.ve opportunities to go for the jugular many times through out the game, but we just put our thumbs up our asses and pray that we hang on for a win.
