Martz might have wasted timeouts, but McVay did worse tonight.
And I've NEVER seen Martz call a game this bad.
Literally anyone could have had a better gameplan than McVay tonight.

it was a bad night... but no one thought we had a playoff team this year.... most of the world thought we were going to be complete garbage. This is the kind of loss that wiped keep us out if the playoffs and it is all on the coach
They've won exactly one. But yeah they're uglyoh.. and retire the fucking blueberries... haven't won a game in them yet
It was late. I saw it. I think the NFL wants us to go away till next year. They already have their sweet hearts picked out.NFL Network suggesting the timeout that the Bengals called on the Higbee TD pass was actually late.... seems to be the trend with this game, getting screwed at every turn.
oh boy here it comes. If Goff played like Stafford tonight McVay would be roasting his balls over the fire
wait you want him fired? This is the first time im outright calling for McVays job. i think hes a good coach but i think he has reached his peak in terms of growth and willingness to change. Tonight he showed that he will never believe in asserting the offense in the trenches. Hes always had the annoying habit of abandoning the run early but tonight was inexcusable. After the success of week 1 with Kyren, the fact the Bengals are bad defending the run, the fact that Matthew needs to stay upright as much as possible to maximize this year AND next...and he refuses to run the ball??
oh boy here it comes.
calling for his job was maybe too strong but tonight was the first straw for me wanting him gone. Next year will obviously be a big year for him but when i see how we are trending im not optimistic. Even with a strong draft class/strong draft pick, i currently dont have faith in McVay to reinvent himself and field a dominant team going forward. As we currently stand i see a possible future of playoff appearances (assuming we hit on all future talent and development) but unless McVay has a real come to jesus moment, i currently cant see the Rams contending for Super Bowls for the remainder of his tenurewait you want him fired?
i mean stafford threw one bad pass.... and took one bad sack. It's true though.
But one of the great things about the trade is that he can no longer hide his failures by pinning them on the QB. Stafford wasn't great tonight by any means, but this loss is not on him. Not even close.
Agree to an extent. Stafford has always had these kinds of games. He has a few a year. Even our Superbowl run had some ugly Stafford games. But Mcvay didn't put him in a good position this game. It's true though.
