Loved this team in the first half. Still love this team. Second half was abysmal though.

I had to entertain the girls, but I’ll give an “official” review based on the televised cast. I saw a replay and the EZ PI on Kendrick looked like pattycake. That’s a flag you leave in the belt.

Full analysis of Vino’s crew soon. What they did right, what they need to improve upon.

Young team? Check
1-5? Ah, no.
A long way to go? Check.
Lost season? Ah, no.

I enjoy watching these guys and that may sound strange at 2-3. But....we've played the top 2 NFC teams close. Sure we lost but #3 Dallas coming up in a couple of weeks. Like Meatloaf said, 2 outta 3 ain't bad. They will get better as will the record. Not much to vent over, imho.

.

And when the d had hurts contained on 3rd down in the 2nd half 5 yards before the 1st down marker and somehow Durant and young let him get the 1st down, man I got pissed.

Basic tackling techniques. Square up and hold your ground. He can't get around you if you're stance allows movement both ways. Durant sold out on the outside and whiffed. Then young tried to shoulder hurts down, what? Wrap your arms around him and take him down.

Hopeless. I keep saying it but why don't nfl teams hire some rugby league coaches and teach their players how to tackle?

Honestly, we lost when they went 75 yds in 30 seconds to score a td going into the half. God damn that sucked .that was all the points they ended up needing. Sucked the life out of them after the Nacua TD.

I’ve never seen a team cough up more points at the end of the half than these guys. Teams go right after Kendrick’s when they need points. You can’t play CB in the NFL with your back to the ball. Especially in the end zone. Lost all momentum going into the second half. They may be the worst tackling team in the league. It’s embarrassing

OLine just cannot stay healthy. The potential is there but we are missing a few key peices.

Couldn’t watch live today and am not excited about watching.

Bobby Brown being out is a huge problem. They just don’t have any big bodies.

Again….it’s all about next year but Hoect is a liability playing out of position so try something/ anything else. Rozeboom doesn’t look like he plays much but he’s a spectator on the field so anyone else.
Stafford/Kupp will get back to great in a couple weeks so pass game has a high ceiling. They missed at least 2 deep connections that they normally make.
Tackling is atrocious. How many Rams tried to tackle with just their shoulder. Don’t they teach wrapping up anymore.

Confused asf why Morris consistently has Hoecht, a 300+ lb DL, chasing WR’s down the field.

His coverage scheme has changed up and is much better but this has turned into my major gripe now.

Not a very good coach tbh.

Good game. Sucks to lose.
I enjoyed the first half. Stafford was connecting with Puka and Coop and it was so fun. But the Iggles were too strong and physical. Staff got hit hard a couple times and his passes wer not on point as they had been, for whatever reason. I knew when started punting, the odds were not great that we would win. I think we just got beat by a better team and I can live with that.

Supposedly we got rid of Akers because he couldn't and wouldn't pass block. Williams had one atrocious attempt today and a few other bad ones too. Just not a good game from a lot of people on many levels.

Yeah we sucked - had our moments but gave up that TD at the end of the 1st half.

My thing is, what's it going to take for McVay to realize game situations? I just knew when they came out in the 2nd half, he would possess the ball with short passes, runs, and screens...NOT!!!

Once Philly was up 20-14... he had the same chance... 2nd and 5, and he throws two deep passes instead of going to Puka or Kupp...or running the ball a couple of times. Not only that...KNOWING your defense was just on the field all that time...YOU KNOW they need to rest!!!

That...in a nutshell, is where the game was lost. IT'S ON McVay

When Witherspoon left the game we got pretty weak at that point.

Could have made the difference.
Witherspoon has been a pleasant surprise.

That PI call on him in the EZ looked ticky tack.
It looked to me, like he was playing the ball.

Right?

It’s really not Hoecht’s fault. It’s the coaches for putting him in that position.

It’s not a total waste.
I enjoyed most of the game.
Not all of it, though.

Our inexperience was noticeable the second half, but there are still reasons to be excited about this team.

A few observations to take from this game:

That is what a dominant Oline looks like. The Oline and the assortment of pass rushers are why the Eagles were the NFC champs. The eagles success has nothing to do with coaching or Hurts. It's really the Oline and the pass rushers they have assorted. I will give them credit for drafting Jalen Carter. The fact that the Lions chickened out on drafting him is going to haunt them for years.

The fact that we had a chance to go ahead late means we are no pushovers.

Stafford had to be great today and he was not. Overthrows to Puka and Tutu and Kupp were not good enough. Stafford tends to have several games during the season like this. On the bright side, he has shown the ability to play his best ball in the playoffs, so can't hate the guy.

Kupp and Stafford also need time to get in synch.

Mcvay called way too many deep shots. He should have adjusted to the pressure and called shorter slants and such.

Our run defense from the front 3 is really solid. Swift couldn't get much going today, till some cheap stuff late.

Brown is turning into an excellent run stopper. If he is out that will be rough.

The end of the half defense with what 32 seconds left? WTF man. We still have no solution to this problem.

Common denominator is Kendrick.

We are not going to get to the next level until we address the Kendrick, Hoecht and Durant problems.

Tackling was atrocious. Could have won the game if we simply tackled with correct form.

LT probably is going to be our biggest need, along with Pass rusher. I have to review the tape but looked like jackson was struggling out there. Until we get a dominant LT and edge guy we are not going to be in the heavy weight class.

Hard to be overly mad since we lost to a better team. But there are a ton of things we need to get corrected as evidenced from this game.

We still look like a 9-10 win team right now.

Need to dump the Durant and Kendrick projects and let Shelly and Tomlinson show what they have.

I thought the only real misses Stafford had today was a flat route to Higbee that he sailed on the second drive and the seam route to Tutu later in the game. Those deep balls to Puka and Kupp weren’t open, and one of the overthrows was actually an attempt to throw Kupp open by changing the shoulder. They are low percentage throws to begin with.

I’ll concede he wasn’t great, but he played pretty well. Philly’s D line took control in the 2H.
