We gave the top 2 teams in the NFC all they wanted.

We will improve in the coming months and we can be a team that no one will want to play in the playoffs.

I just wish that McVay could put as much focus upon developing a strong rushing attack as he does the passing game.
This offense is just too Matthew Stafford dependent. It was the same thing in Detroit. Coaches fall in love with the arm talent and the running game be damned.

And I understand that 11 personnel is his thing, but couldn't he mix in some 12 personnel or other packages more? Give opposing defenses other things to look and prepare for sometimes. Free Davis Allen!!
The Eagles came into the game giving up 2.9 yards per carry.

Williams 53 yards was the largest amount they had give in up all year.

I think we didn't run the ball enough against the Bengals.

But running more against the Eagles would not have worked.

I really meant in general and with varying looks to keep defenders honest.

But, despite the Eagles rushing game prowess, Kyren averaged 4.1 yards per carry.

McVay got predictable during the Super Bowl year, too. Then they started pounding the rock with Sony Michel and things opened up, if I'm not mistaken.

Besides the massive consistent problem no pass rush I sorta of blame McVay on this one. We were only down by a score and we didn't run the ball instead we throw low percentage seam route and 2 deep shots to Kupp who is not back in time with Stafford yet. We need 5 yards not 30 we go for a bomb. By running the ball we slow down their rush. We keep trying these bubble screens and they never work ever this year stop them. Down by 6 we show focus on each play instead of trying to get a huge chunk this way the rush is nullified and we keep moving the chains.

Without a rush we will never know what we got on defense. No defense can hold up for 5-6 seconds and when a QB has that much time with that wide of a pocket he will carve you up no DB or Safety can hold up that long.

Lastly yesterday especially the tackling was horrible they had 3 or 4 3rd and longs where Hurts escapes and runs for a first or a wr catches a short pass and breaks several tackles for a first down. We only had 3 possessions in the 1st half that should tell you all we need to know about the defense.

Seems that when offense has the first 15-20 plays scripted they do well.
After that the wheels fall off?

The next 4-5 games, just have to be easier....
Out of 5 games rams have played, 2 of the teams are 10-0, combined.
and 2 teams they beat, are a combined 6-3.
Somehow rams lost to the 2-3 Bengal's.

I don't know where to put this and I don't want to start a new thread..

I'm sooooo fucking bummed Bobby Brown got hurt. He looked like he had turned the corner and was turning into a reliable force on the D Line. Just sucks losing him.

Was there any update on Brown beyond McVay saying it "did not look good"? That could mean anything from missing a month to season ending IMO.

Offensive Play Calling - Lack of Run, Useless Screens, Empty Backfields
Personnel - Hoecht, Kendricks got to play someone else. Durant was bad that game.
Defense - Tackling, Seriously that alone could have won the game.

I just don't see it. He's had some OK games, but nothing that makes me think, damn he's good. What am I missing here?
