the evidence doesn't really back that up though because they gave up 7 out 9 first downs in the first half when they were rested.
They would not have been on the field as much so less 3rd down ops. But yea, they might want to takel the QB instead of hit him. They are right there and don't rap him up.

Great to see Kupp back after almost a year. It will take a few weeks for him and Stafford to fully get back in rhythm.

Fuck the Eagles.

Can someone tell me why Havenstein was removed from the game by the officials, ... and what was the injury to Bobby Brown ?
He took off his helmet to fix something and by rule you have to come off a play or some shit.

I’m not sure.. the first half injury was his right arm. I thought he aggravated it but needing a cart seems to point towards a leg injury?

Like the Bengal game Stafford was under a lot of pressure most the second half. I'm thinking DC's are noticing something at the half and dialing up more pressure because they know the Rams aren't good at protecting their quarterback with it. If the Rams really want to surprise people and be a legit contender, that is something they need to figure out.

I don't what they can do about the poor tackling. That is fundamental football. If you aren't good at it by now I don't know how hard it will be to teach them how to improve there. Maybe focus more on wrapping up than just taking a shot that the ball carrier bounces off and keeps running?

The Eagles were clearly the better team. The Rams battled them really well in the 1st half but the Eagles really turned up the heat on Stafford in the 2nd half and the Rams never really adjusted.

A young team. They need to grow but there is something to build on here.

I didn't have much in the way of expectations this year. 2-3 is probably the best I could have hoped for.

The only thing that makes me angry is the wasted year for Donald, Stafford and Kupp. But I guess we were going to go through this pain one way or the other.

I still want them to win the games they SHOULD win...like next week.

But if they steal a game here and there from a better team that would be icing on the cake. They just didn't do that today.

Looked to me like Brown initiated contact and then fell down
Maybe. I'm not sure. But the second angle they showed Kendrick definitely had his hand tugging his chest plate

If you celebrated the SB win, give the trading away picks a rest.

I’m tired of hearing that crap too.

It worked! The Rams traded away picks and spent a lotta $$, and you know what?
IT WORKED! They won the fucking SB. Enough already.

We did pretty good against one of the better teams in the NFL.

Would love some upgrades on the OL and pass rush even a little bit more in the run defense. The team will get better especially with the experience the young guys are getting this year and we'll add some free agency and draft picks next year.

Oh and fuck Vinobitch along with the shit birds east coast version.

The coaching staff consistently put the defense in place to make plays and they just didn’t. Offense kept stalling out at midfield but they were on the sidelines for like the whole game

Maybe noticing that McVay is so obstinate he refuses to change personnel, groupings, or help out tackles and his OL in general by tweaking his game plan, even if just to change things up.

Just a thought….

There are enough games on the schedule that they should win. But its the NFL. Any given Sunday. So I would think we won't will all of the winnable games. The way the defense gives up easy touchdowns late in a half is concerning. Chances are, there will be a game we have a one score lead and he defense can't hold them.

We did have concerns about the defense before the season. I think a number of us expected multiple games giving up over 30 points. Its only happened once. So as much as we get frustrated with them, I think they're doing better than expected. Enough to get to the playoffs? I don't know. We'll have to see how that goes.

Avila is a find but the o-line is atrocious.
4th game in a row they had a pathetic effort in 2nd half
Refusal to run 12 set with turnstiles at the T is mind boggling
Was Jefferson in uniform?

Should be 3-1 with Green Bay maybe causing a 2-2 instead.

I'm fine with it. I personally am enjoying the development and ride. I ain't even mad about today.

I hate that the Eagles have the best Oline in the game
With an experienced quarterback like Stafford, we don't need the best line in the league. But they do have to be better than what we have if we think we can be a playoff team. Right now I would rate our starting offensive line below average. It gets worse with the inevitable injuries.

- Bad tackling was a massive reason for loss. Several 3rd downs were there to be stopped and missed tackles let the drive continue ending in points.

- Week in and Week out, Michael Hoecht is a massive liability and the coaches should be thrown in prison for him being in coverage so damn much.

- Zero pass rush again. We DESPERATELY need EDGE.

- Kyren had a few nice runs but man, our RBs lack explosion. He had a screen that should've been 20+ yards and it was around 11. Rivers had a run where the whole was there and a lot of yards to gain and got swallowed for a 1yd gain. A true RB1 would elevate this offense immensely. And I think that's why McVay stops running it so much.

Frustrating as hell loss, man.

.

Once again the d allowed a cheap td in the last minute of the 1st half.

How many times do we have to see it? The Rams have a lead heading into the half, feeling good about themselves and then the d just screws everything up in the last minute of the half.

Then everything goes pear shaped on offense in the 2nd half. Like the opposition gets a boost with the score before the half.
