We had our... 3rd center, and 4th and 5th guards starting out there? Too go along with our 4th and 5th CBs starting?

Any win we pull out under these conditions is a miracle. Against a division rival (unlike the cards who are merely a division opponent)? Plus the odds are overwhelmingly in favor of home teams in prime time when they're coming off a loss. I heard that from some gambling outlet years back. Never bet against the home team in prime time if they lost the week before.

Anyway, yeah it's going to be tough sledding for a while. Oh well.

Maybe McVay can call his grandpa and get congratulated for giving away a win to his whiners.

I’m just curious… why isn’t Ramsey a cut candidate after getting run over on the same play?
Because Rapp can be counted on for only one thing: fuckng up his assignment. I have no clue what Morris sees in him, but I can promise you that it's not real. I'm pretty sure that this season if you go and look back at Ramsey's big plays he's given up, Rapp is the safety over the top, not doing his job.

Ramsey’s paid 20 mil a year.. he BETTER make that fucking tackle.

You get paid like a star, you better play like a star. Period.

yet against us, their QB never has a play like that.

Not true. It's just that the Rams defenders drop them.

Littleton dropped a pick 6 way back in 19 when the steak began. And Ramsey dropped a pick 6 in the championship game I believe. There are probably others.

.

And everyone threw Goff under the bus when he threw that pick yesterday. Stafford threw an absolute terrible pass on his pick but it happens. Good QBs make bad plays from time to time. But man did it come at an inopportune time.

I think Stafford is pressing because our receivers are not getting open. He's thrown more picks than TDs and I really think it's due to a lack of production from WR 2 and WR 3. In order for OBJ to come back, we need to be in the playoffs. If not he'll probably go to Buffalo.

He was in the open field and dweebo had the advantage. So easy to step a defender there.

I'd be pissed if a Rams wr got tackled in that situation. Remember when that rams returner let the Jets kicker tackle him? Awful. A cut candidate and he was cut.

I wouldn't doubt that. But I also wouldn't doubt that sometimes Ramsey freelances too.

Problem is this pass rush is so bad that they have zero room to fuck up. And that is probably not going to change this season. So they have to adjust to that reality and we are still mid-adjustment IMO.

Also we are starting to see the lack of high picks making an impact. You don't see any young special athletes on this roster. It's filled with smart, sound players and high level veterans. The young guys are try hard guys that as I said, get by on smarts & fundamentals.

So no freakish athletes with high upsides and those are the guys you get in rounds 1 & 2.

Not saying it was wrong with what they did, afterall they won it all. Just saying we are starting to see the trade off and downside to that approach.
Well said. The approach was worth it and paid off with a SB, but when we play teams with elite talent we can get blown out if we don't play well. Its never more evident than when our average-to-below average talent OL faces a stacked front of 1st round talent. We just get punked and steamrolled more often than not.

Sorry… I find it comedy that one guy should be cut… but the superstar? No big.

But when every QB is getting rid of the ball on average 2.2 seconds, it is almost impossible to get to the QB.

Cmon Morris - change your game plan where you are playing aggressive D from time to time. I would be okay if we manned up half the time and back off half of those times just to confuse the QB.

It's the coverage. You can play soft but make it look pre-snap that you're playing tight man then drop back. What I've seen on 3rd and 3 is a corner 10 yards back. The corner comes up after the snap but by then, the receiver has the ball, the first down and some momentum.

Yeah, I'm gonna hold out hope that the Rams are gonna look a lot stronger when we get some starters back.

Imagine if we'd asked this question 4 weeks ago: "How would the Rams look with Evans at LG, Kolone at C, and Grant Haley and Kendrick at CB 2 and 3?"

Within the next few weeks we should see the return of Allen, Shelton, Edwards, Long, Hill, Durant, and Jefferson. That's a lot of talent missing due to injury.

Yeah the Rams looked bad tonight but there's still hope, IMHO.

We are 2-2. Not great. Not bad. All of our goals remain in front of us.

It’s all about where we go from here… and…There is a list forming where we need work.

It is hard to look past the challenges with the offensive line. It is looking like we are going to need to help them out schematically. Pitches to runningbacks, screens, short passes, rollouts, and hurry up… stuff like that.

Stafford can’t take this many hits… and we need to generate a run threat.

We'll get some injured players back. We should be full steam after the bye. I guess Jefferson was more important to this offense than we all realized.

I'm not concerned about this game. Crazy, dumb shit happens when we face Jimmy G.

Someone put out some wanted posters for Floyd and Wagner, tho. Nowhere to be seen.

Somehow JG and Samuel always look like Montane and Rice against the Rams. This team has a different feel than last years. Oline is in shambles and the schedule is brutal. On to the Cowgirls , but it won’t be easy. 2-3 is staring them in the face
I’m glad Atwell is looking great in practice. That lousy pick still makes my ass hurt. Dammit
