SinceI been watching Ram football since the 50's and this has got to be weirdest one ever.
Never thought I’d see Yazz and the Plastic Population on here.
Because the Rams picked-up Baker Mayfield; or because most of us are happy they picked-up Baker Mayfield? We've officially hit bottom
48 hours from now might be asking a little too much.let's see baker and cookus Thursday
No, we will be lucky if he has a uniform sized with name and nimbersNow the next question. Can the Rams conceivably get him on the field thursday?
McVay thought enough of his talent coming out of college to like him and still holds true today, evidently. I'll trust his evaluation. Baker won't beed to be a leader in the locker room, at least not now. We have Donald, Ramsey, Wagner and Stafford. Plenty of leaders there.Pros
Previous starting Experience
Chance to revitalize career
Chance to start 4 of 5 remaining games
Possible comp pick if he leaves and signs somewhere else
Arguably cheap at $1.3 mil
Cons
Bad starting record
Alleged locker room leadership skills
Talent questionable
Arguably waste of time if he doesn't stay as a backup next year.
Just when I thought this year couldnt get worse.
Yeah I know but if you were told at the beginning of the season that the rams would be starting baker in december, how fast would your head explode? We've been playing Wolford and Perkins. We already hit bottom.

I'd rather see Perkins the rest of the way. We know baker isn't a starter in this league let alone for the rams so why are we doing this.
No playoff possibility but potential team disruption for what? He's not starting next year, he wont be a backup here next year so what possible reason could the rams want to bring in someone to play maybe 4 games who doesn't know the playbook and takes experience from Perkins, who does know the platbook, while we still don't know what we have in him. Baker is at 57% completion this year.
We know Baker isn't a starter? Dude put up 26 TDs to 8 Ints in 2020 and led the Browns to the playoffs (including a victory in the playoffs). He also had an outstanding rookie season. I don't think it is remotely clear that Baker can't be a starter. And I'd much, much prefer watching him to watching Perkins play like a HB masquerading as a QB.Yeah I know but if you were told at the beginning of the season that the rams would be starting baker in december, how fast would your head explode?

If it was Sunday I'd say maybe. But he won't get much practice with the short week. I'd focus on the last 4 weeks. Tutu showed some promise with speed and good hands. Mayfield may not be accurate but at least he's got enough arm to throw deep and see if Tutu can track it down. Woeford was woefully short that play where Tutu beat his man badly. Now the next question. Can the Rams conceivably get him on the field thursday?
