Granted they have not won the big prize thankfully, but they have been to the NFC Championship game 3 out of the last 4 years and One Super Bowl Appearance, IMO, that is pretty consistent. I would rather see them not that close.

the closer you get to the biggest prize the more bitter the defeat. as long as they don't win the superbowl it's so satisfying seeing them crumble out of the playoffs. two 10 point leads in the 4th qtr blown by this team, one in the superbowl and one in the nfc championship game, was fantastic to watch. almost better than seeing the rams win. and to see the rams overcome a 10 point deficit to beat those fucking whiners in the nfc championship game was the greatest moment in my sport viewing life.

and to think them wasting 3 1st round picks on lance maybe having an effect on those three losses makes it one of the sweetest bad trades in nfl history.

If Brock Purdy becomes an all pro and leads them to a Super Bowl victory the discussion becomes superfluous. However, @Corbin appears to have been right about Trey Lance to this point, but 49er are still winning with somebody else and that is what matters.

I want them to lose and if they lose I don't care if they have the second coming of Dan Marino as long as the 49ers lose and the Rams kick their ass repeatedly.

Both valid points at the time I’d say. However I was in my mid teens then thinking we were going to the SB! Lol

No matter your faulty logic etc. the most important thing is realizing and learning from your mistakes and staying true with the knowledge you learned.

In this case, don’t draft for need but BPA except when it’s a close tie at times depending where you are at in the draft.

I’ve read a lot of writings etc. of GM’s and former GM’s, good and bad, that part of the business fascinates me.

Completely agree, Den. That's a lot of winning and you have to respect those bastards for that. Thank the Lord that Lance has been a bust. And thank God that the Rams stole their souls in that NFC championshop game.

Between ramsey and Stafford, the Rams had at least 3 traded 1rst rounders ON THE FIELD, while lance (3 traded 1rst rounders) was on the bench.

Yeah, it made a difference. Go ahead haters, tell us again how the Rams blew it by putting a SB title ahead of annual, “oh! So close! Maybe next year.”
