Nice but, will he last till later in round 3 when Rams draft?

You never know how these things go
But most of the mocks and mock generators have Moss falling to the third or fourth round. I haven’t seen any actually that don’t have him making our 52 pick.

I personally like CEH and think his quickness jukes and explosion make him top of the class. He looks to me like a Smaller Marshall Faulk or Barry Sanders type. He will juke you out of your shoes. I am no Jrry over here so maybe Moss is the better pro.

I also see the arguement that LSU had a stacked Oline so People are tempering their love for Burrow and CEH.

Also, I could care less about the slow 40 times of both players. They both have multiple ways of breaking big gains

Moss ran a 4.52 subsequent to the combine - where it was said he had a tight hamstring. In case you missed it, the Rams have interviewed him

See below link

IMO if we wait until the 3rd we might need to trade up. That’s if he is available - a big if? In comparison, Ray Rice was taken 65th pick after the Ravens traded up. Ozzie was a great GM, eh

I could see Rams selecting a RB at R3.84 or R3.104. who best available at those slots?
I have done mock drafts where Cam Akers, Antonio Gibson and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are available at #84 and Zack Moss, Darrynton Evans, Anthony McFarland and A.J. Dillon are available at #104

I generally do not go off prospects. Which is why I steer clear of mock drafts. So what is best? I just want a winning squad. I’d rather have a off the radar type person who actually has winning qualities. I don’t want pretenders that fake the funk that skate by doing the bare minimum. So my question is how do we go about finding those?

I think McSnead value character and smarts more than most evaluators. They seem to really vet their acquisitions.

I'm finding it difficult to think of a player in this draft that would be available higher in round two that would be worth a trading up.

If all the plus talent has gone, but then that is often not the case

There are players I like who will be picked later, but it is factually correct to say that some prospects have better film, more talent, better technique, and combine grit with flare

I think that regardless of what the Rams do with the draft, several talking (I prefer shrinking) heads will pick the Rams to finish no better than 3rd or even 4th in the west...

I think we will do very well.

We have a great scouting department and fine coaches. McVay and Snead are both extremely detailed and talented evaluators

Fingers crossed they scoop up the players they have targeted

It only takes one of your enemies to pick your guy ahead of you. This draft has the running backs spaced out. You're not going to see a run on them and get a chance to move up quickly. That's why I think Snead would want more picks so if he sees the chance to trade down I think he will. He wants to get his guy and the more picks the more chances.

We can only guess what Snead and McVay are thinking. My guess is that they would not want to spend an early-round two pick on a RB because they have Henderson and other needs. I do think they need an all-around back just in case Henderson gets injuries. Most college RBs aren't asked to block so it's not a totally known thing. I bet McVay would love to have CEH as he looks so elusive and can catch out of the backfield. If the Rams drafted CEH then Rams would have to short RBs.

I don't think we take a RB early since we have Brown and Henderson. If they use Brown as a trade chip during the draft then I see us grab more of an all around back earlier. But I say draft one in a later round (there will still be good talent) and basically red shirt him this season or do like they did with Henderson. Without Gurley we need a back that can punch it in in the red zone. Brown failed twice in a row last year against the 49ers which showed hes not the answer in that situation. I like Sewo Olonilua in the 6th but that's just my opinion though.

They crushed their first draft together. If they could replicate rounds 2-4 like that, we're back in business this year.

So true. 2018 was not good. 2019 is still very promising. I think Evans & Edwards could be huge moving forward into The Rams futures. I actually really believe that.
