I'm in London. No need to risk your dollars, brother. Perhaps we should meet for a beer to watch our Rams and talk football (y)

If I ever head that way again I’ll make sure to post to see if I can enjoy some pints with you fine lads! Lol

What statement? There was more than one ;)

I was replying to another poster. Not endorsing the view that losing Gurley doesn’t matter, it does - a lot

The statement about how good the line was in 2018 vs 2019. Injuries happen. The depth is better now than in 2018. So The Rams were always just one injury away from being in trouble.
Anyway it doesn’t matter right now. Will know more next week. OTA’s would have given us both a clearer view of how The Rams organization was thinking about certain postitions.

.

the rams invested two 3rd round picks into henderson.

to think they're gonna waste them by picking a 3 down back in this draft is fanciful.

I'm not sold Helaire is a better player than Zack Moss. Moss is easily the better pass protector (Helaire is bad at it), but the metrics actually show Moss being the better tackle-breaker and more efficient pass-catcher (Moss averaged more yards per route run, according to PFF). Both guys run a 4.6 40. Moss should be around in the third. Why trade up? I think both should be quality backs. I'd compare CEH to Ray Rice and Zack Moss to Kareem Hunt (it's a coincidence that both the NFL players were known for punching women). I think Moss offers better value.

Source on the stats:
Only two Power-5 running backs finished in the top 10 in both missed tackles per attempt and missed tackles per reception: Utah’s Zack Moss and Miami’s Deejay Dallas.

Moss is the only running back to finish in the top six of all six stable metrics, including a No. 1 ranking in yards per route run (2.37).

LSU’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire finished sixth in the class with 0.33 missed tackles per carry, but he also had the seventh-highest yards before contact figure at 3.01 per carry. He was excellent at making defenders miss, but he benefited greatly from his supporting cast at LSU.
----------------------------
Zack Moss is a baller. He's a 5'10" 225 pound wrecking ball who can juke you out of your shoes, spin out of tackles, flatten defenders with his truck stick, protect his QB when asked to block, and create when asked to run routes. He has some durability and workload concerns, but that kid will produce in the NFL. I don't know how long he'll play due to his heavy college workload, but I bet somebody gets five to six very productive years out of him.

Moss killed a guy!

He thought he had him.

He also thought he had him.

He can catch it too.

The only thing he lacks is breakaway speed.

Both are quality backs, no argument there..... But I just have a feeling about Helaire. Then again, I had a similar feeling about Trent Richardson... Lolz.

Even though our offense flows through the run? You can't use play action effectively without a strong running game.

That said, a great OL can make even an average back look great - see CJ Anderson for details. Is that what you want us to target?
Yeah because until that offensive line gets fixed it doesn’t matter who is running the ball. Not to mention the play action only works if a team fears the running back so even though Gurley wasn’t his usual self he was a still a threat the defenses had to account for. So I would hope that offensive line is a priority over running back

Me too on Trent lol.

Dunno. Maybe.

You show me clips of a player each year and I then I fall in love with them. You just sold me on Moss. The 2nd GIF, he initiated that stiff arm at the 8 and lifted that DB to the goal line! He has good feet, balance on contact and power. He looks like beast mode without that top end gear you mentioned. Still looks like he could be a monster in the league though.
Target and trade down with one of the 2nds. Him and Hendo would be a nice pair with Brown in his trusty 3rd down role.

Wish the Rams listened to you about Kittle lol.

I could see Rams selecting a RB at R3.84 or R3.104. who best available at those slots?

They listened with Copper Kupp.
Everett & Reynolds should be real good going into there 4th year with
Mcvay & Goff.

They crushed their first draft together. If they could replicate rounds 2-4 like that, we're back in business this year.

I generally do not go off prospects. Which is why I steer clear of mock drafts. So what is best? I just want a winning squad. I’d rather have a off the radar type person who actually has winning qualities. I don’t want pretenders that fake the funk that skate by doing the bare minimum. So my question is how do we go about finding those?

You and me both. Hate that he's in SF. Wish they didn't listen to me on Tavon lol.
