I'm in London. No need to risk your dollars, brother. Perhaps we should meet for a beer to watch our Rams and talk football
What statement? There was more than one
I was replying to another poster. Not endorsing the view that losing Gurley doesn’t matter, it does - a lot
Phillip Lindsay in Denver went undrafted. Rams found Benny Cunningham undrafted the same year they grabbed Stacy in the 5th round. You can find a back that has a good role using round 4-UDFA capital.
Trading up for the right player is fine with me. Trading up for a HB? No bueno.
DEVILS ADVOCATE HERE: @jrry32 lets say RB Swift slides to the 34 pick in Rd 2. Would ya move up?
I'm not sold Helaire is a better player than Zack Moss. Moss is easily the better pass protector (Helaire is bad at it), but the metrics actually show Moss being the better tackle-breaker and more efficient pass-catcher (Moss averaged more yards per route run, according to PFF). Both guys run a 4.6 40. Moss should be around in the third. Why trade up? I think both should be quality backs. I'd compare CEH to Ray Rice and Zack Moss to Kareem Hunt (it's a coincidence that both the NFL players were known for punching women). I think Moss offers better value.

Some metrics carry more weight when projecting from college to the NFL — such as a quarterback's performance in a clean pocket compared to their performance under pressure. Here is a breakdown for every position.www.pff.com
Moss is the only running back to finish in the top six of all six stable metrics, including a No. 1 ranking in yards per route run (2.37).
LSU’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire finished sixth in the class with 0.33 missed tackles per carry, but he also had the seventh-highest yards before contact figure at 3.01 per carry. He was excellent at making defenders miss, but he benefited greatly from his supporting cast at LSU.

Zack Moss is a baller. He's a 5'10" 225 pound wrecking ball who can juke you out of your shoes, spin out of tackles, flatten defenders with his truck stick, protect his QB when asked to block, and create when asked to run routes. He has some durability and workload concerns, but that kid will produce in the NFL. I don't know how long he'll play due to his heavy college workload, but I bet somebody gets five to six very productive years out of him.
Moss killed a guy!
He thought he had him.
He also thought he had him.
He can catch it too.
The only thing he lacks is breakaway speed.
Both are quality backs, no argument there..... But I just have a feeling about Helaire. Then again, I had a similar feeling about Trent Richardson... Nice but, will he last till later in round 3 when Rams draft?
Yeah because until that offensive line gets fixed it doesn’t matter who is running the ball. Not to mention the play action only works if a team fears the running back so even though Gurley wasn’t his usual self he was a still a threat the defenses had to account for. So I would hope that offensive line is a priority over running backEven though our offense flows through the run? You can't use play action effectively without a strong running game.
That said, a great OL can make even an average back look great - see CJ Anderson for details. Is that what you want us to target?
Me too on Trent lol.
Dunno. Maybe.

You show me clips of a player each year and I then I fall in love with them. You just sold me on Moss. The 2nd GIF, he initiated that stiff arm at the 8 and lifted that DB to the goal line! He has good feet, balance on contact and power. He looks like beast mode without that top end gear you mentioned. Still looks like he could be a monster in the league though.
Target and trade down with one of the 2nds. Him and Hendo would be a nice pair with Brown in his trusty 3rd down role.
Wish the Rams listened to you about Kittle lol.
They listened with Copper Kupp.
Everett & Reynolds should be real good going into there 4th year with
Mcvay & Goff.

You and me both. Hate that he's in SF. Wish they didn't listen to me on Tavon lol.
