He also wants $20M/yr on his extension. Too much money for a risky guy. This Rams team can’t afford to take risks anymore. We need to pick and choose wisely how we spend the limited assets and cap space.
Ouch! $20M is a hard sell. You'd have to let someone else walk or do awful fancy number juggling to make that work.

From PFT:

The Texans have been trying to trade Cooks. As explained last night, his $18 million fully guaranteed salary has become an impediment. As one league source has suggested, Cooks could be willing to soften the guarantee for 2023 in order to escape the Texans and return to the Rams. Also, the Texans could eat some of the 2023 guaranteed salary in order to get the draft pick they’re looking for.
That's fine, still don't want him. Kamara is the same his 2025 cap hit is $22.5 million.

I would avoid Kamara. He feels like a run down sports car at the front of the lot all dressed up with balloons.
After Ingram went down Kamara is getting most the snaps today. 45 rushing yards in 11 attempts and a TD. 9 receptions for 96 yards and two TD's. Its midway through the 3rd quarter. Using him as the 3 down back today he sure looks like vintage Kamara.

Chubb is very likely better than any player we would draft in the first round. I think the hesitation on we the fans part is the xmas present effect, you just don't know what you might get but the anticipation is intoxicating

I don't think Kamara is looking to reduce his salary or remove future guarantees.
I haven't heard he is, wouldn't change things if he did for me. As I don't know that Cooks will reduce it enough to make a difference, don't want either.

Agree, although I'd still prefer Burns. That first round pick of ours isn't until 2024, and I don't see anything that might resemble these current top young NFL Edge rushers for where we'll be picking in the 2'nd round in 2023. jmo.

Ditto. Lotsa folks gettin' all upset with trading a first rounder but Chubb has proven he's worth it when he's healthy. He's still young enough to have a lot of big productive years going forward....

Exactly he was a top 5 pick when will the Rams pick top 5 I don't think anytime soon with Stafford AD Coop Ramsey and others

AD sadly and it's a day I/we all dread but he is probably done after next year. So you can sign Chubb to a all cap hit type contract and do whatever you want after that as AD almost makes what 10-15 million more and again cap will continue to go up.
