For sure, I’m starting to doubt it as well. Actually I’d be really interested in the Browns Felton and Dearnest Johnson over the pricey and more than likely defunct Hunt. His speed (acceleration) is gone which is apparent watching him which many fail to realize since they don’t watch other games. Acceleration is what made Hunt special in the first place.

Absolutely no to Burns or Allen. If any, I’d give a 3 and 5 for Chubb, and I still don’t want to do that. But fun to my head that is my go to if our FO is going to pick up somebody.
Chubb will cost too much for an injury plagued player. Would nit feel good coughing up millions for him.

Burns does not appear to be injury prone and thus if your going for a big name and sacrificing more high picks, then I would go for him.

I wouldn't be mad with cooks Robinson and kupp on the same team. Especially with Stafford throwing the ball to cooks. Remember last time cooks was in a Rams uniform goff was throwing him the ball.

Just out of curiosity. . . Would anyone be interested in adding TJ Hockenson?

I know it's not necessarily a need. But he and Higbee in a two tight end set; both are very versatile players that can block, run routes, catch, and just get after it.

He'd be an interesting player to see Mcvay utilize as well. Could definitely be deployed in that FB role.
He’s not on the trade block is he?

It's too close to game time to make any trades. That means that they won't be pulling any triggers and making any announcements until after the game against the 9ers.

Wonder if the result of the game makes the difference in what they do. Perhaps a couple of smaller deals if they lose, and a bigger one or two if they win.

Always interesting with McSnead. As a fan I want to know everything and know it now. But this is a lot better than talking about who they should pick in the first round because they aren't going anywhere. The bad old days of Rams football.

Regarding the Brandin Cooks situation…while it’s true that he still has close friendships with several Rams players/coaches, my understanding is that his salary situation is a complete non-starter in current form. Would imagine a few teams would like to get creative with that.

I'm not sure it should tbh. We showed last year losing twice to the niners doesn't mean much in how to view the team lol.

Fwiw Jourdan had a good point in her article earlier this week about how the rest of the schedule actually looks a bit easier than before the season. Tampa looks like total ass, Green Bay looks like ass, the AFC West outside of the Chiefs is leaky etc...

Even if we lose tomorrow I don't think we should use that as a barometer for how to proceed rest of the season.

The problem (reality) is that Tampa and Green Bay could reasonably say 'the Rams look like ass right now'

Success breeds success. I think thats the saying. A win tomorrow will motivate the Rams to go even more “all in” this year as it means the NFC West is ripe for the picking. A loss by the Broncos, Jags , Browns, Pats, Panthers , etc will have the opposite effect in fanning the flames for a rebuild. .

I'm not so sure why certain people doubt this front office about money. Just trust the process if they want someone and want to resign them they seem to find the money. That's the last thing I'd worry about. Also hence why they are trying doesn't mean they will succeed but trying for a foundational piece that makes sense or has a yr left etc. Let's not forget they could have franchised Von had they wanted to but because of what he did and his stature that was mutually probably agreed on that they wouldn't do that to him. I don't think the same would be for Chubb they probably franchise him as much as they hate using the tag. I trust them to make it work.

Sometimes to he is signed for 2 more years but he doesn't do anything for the Patriots yes Uche but what about Judon I could see that coming out of left field however he is 30 so goes against the foundational formula unless he was at a bargain basement price. Which I doubt. Just another thought.

I know that you said that the CAP is simply a matter of finding the money, but it's still not quite that simple. If the Rams want to re-sign Chubb to a long term contract we can make that work with a 2023 back-loaded contract, but franchising him has the opposite effect as this year that amounts to $18.7 Mil., so forget going in that direction next year. jmo.

Now that it’s the weekend, it seems like any trades won’t be announced/done until after the games tomorrow. Which I think helps cap wise for teams taking on the player.
Now that I said that, a trade is likely to happen in 2 minutes and make me look stupid ;)

In 3.2.1…..”Rams Rock the NFL with a multi/dimensional blockbuster trade that includes (fill in the blank)”.

I understand that dude but my point is let them worry about that the fun for us is to speculate toy with argue about bitch etc. We all get a little Madden sometimes and your 1000% right but you and I both know they have plans when they make moves and they typically work they dropped the ball on Von somewhat because they took him at his word and buffalo saw that and swooped in money talked bullshit walked. Literally

Until we break we need to trust this front office that's how I see it. There are all sorts of language in contracts all sorts of things that can be done we have seen it trust your eyes.

They don't just light picks on fire only time really is Von and we got a Superbowl and for reasons mentioned above. I'm a worry wart myself I get to hyper to amped to pissed but RT now I'm trying to chill. I too don't want to get someone then throw them away along with picks but I'm trusting that's not the plan and it hasn't been.

Yes it could. If we get our ass beat by the whiners tomorrow because we can't run the ball again I imagine the RB prioritization will increase.

OL is possible too of course but as mentioned multiple times it feels like teams don't want to move the big fellas during the season. I mean irt Denver I think I'd rather have Risner than say Jeudy but the cost would be too high for what he is.
