Anybody think OJ Howard could help? Don't know how good he blocks.
Best way to describe would be if Jared Cook and Gerald Everett morphed in to one player. Has the size and ability to block, but at the end of the day just doesnt get it done, seems disinterested
All that said, I dont think he's ever been the same player since his achilles injury

Chubb is a one year rental and Jeudy has an attitude problem. Is it really too good to be true?

Jefferson, Atwell and a 2nd might actually be too much
I disagree he should not be a 1 year rental. Chubb is young he could be good for us for many years to come.

Would love Chubb but unless we again get Denver to pay an edge guy we trade for we need to clear out room for his remaining $7 million (which goes down a bit after this weekends games).

I hear you but I'm going to leave the accounting to the front office. This one is a give and take they lose home for nothing or get something better than a comp pick they would be getting.
Also Denver paying 6 million or whatever it will be after this week is like the bears covering Quinn there is a give and take Quinn is older but signed Chubb is younger the better player but unsigned. I trust them to do the math lol

Nothing to disagree about. He would be a 1 year rental as he's going to be a UFA after the season.

I don't think the Rams do a Chubb trade without resigning him. Lesson learned from Von. Unless they go for a lesser edge. I don't think they just burn picks or that's what will break the formula being burned once bad enough throwing away more picks is not the philosophy/formula they go by that's going against all of it. It becomes counterproductive

and if he does well, gets sacks and helps the Rams make a deep play off run he will likely leave for greener pastures.
If it helps the Rams repeat, is it worth it?
Yes, it is.

Wether the Rams resign him or not, he is a free agent at the end of the season. So for trade value he is a one year rental.

He could choose to sign with another team if he wants, or the Rams. But right now they Rams would only be guaranteed to be trading for his services for the remainder of this season.

they could re-signn him?
Yes, but he’s a one year rental until then. Should they invest a 2nd round pick in the hopes that he would sign or is his current value as a one year rental? It’s the latter.

There is no guarantee they could bring him back and that is how the Rams would have to view it.

I don't think you make that move with the idea that you don't re-sign him. I see what you're saying but if his value is based on that then nothing gets done. And if he had more years on his deal he would be more expensive. It's a gamble anyway.

Roseman's taking his shot for sure. Kamara could really change the way they look if he comes in hot.
Hell of a deal too. Trade with them in the last draft get their 1st this coming year a 2nd next year after that. Then trade one of their 1sts back to them as part of getting Kamara to help Hurts and Sanders.

Trading Alvin Kamara would mean 20 million in dead cap. It isn't happening.

Absolutely agree. The way they handled Von was bad business. If you remember Von was not hot at that moment. He was said to have lost a step and had only 4 sacks after 8 games on a really good D with a great D minded coach. We should have negotiated something with the "just in case Von blows up" in mind. That way we controlled his fate better.
