If you want to have debates about subjects other than the thread title would you please start a new thread for such debates so for those of us who are impatiently checking for updates on possible Ram trades don’t have to be subjected to your quarrels?
Sorry I Apologize GIF

Not every player was great on the Tampa Defense and Baltimore Defense but I believe overall we have comparable players especially since we have possibly the greatest DT's ever and one of the best CBs ever and a hall of fame LB that makes up for his lack of speed with sure tackles and heady play. We are going to have to agree to disagree on this.
Tell me the starters I’m wrong about in the 9ers comp.

I would and there are a few that I think are very comparable or even better than the 49ers players but I don't want to continue this conversation in this thread.

That's fine but I remember the Baltimore and Tampa Bay offenses were terrible in the early 2000s but because they played extremely aggressive defenses, they were able to win the majority of the games.

With Ramsey Wagner and Donald, I truly believe we can be more aggressive like Tampa and Baltimore were. You couldn't move your offenses against those defenses.

Now you can disagree that we don't have the players for those types of defense but I truly believe we can with the players we have in place. Maybe I have too high of an opinion on our players << and that is the crux of our differences.

We can go back and forth about how we are keeping other teams from scoring more than 16 points a game but it all comes down to do we have the players to implement a much more aggressive defense like Baltimore and Tampa in the 2000s. I think we do. Kupp doesn't.
Game has changed drastically since early 2000s.
The passing games right now and all offensive gurus have been taking over. It used to be 2 recievers were enough now all the sudden you need 3,4,5.
That's why the rb position is so devalued it's a lot different. You play like that now you will get burned unless it's truly perfect personnel and even then. With no pass rush you could have revis back there and Deion wouldn't make a difference.

Just wondering...maybe someone we want to trade with wants Jefferson and that's why we checked into Cooks.
Otherwise, I really don't get it either.

If thats the case, that you just are checking for updates, then just check ESPNs front page and don't bother with a fan message board where fans leave messages about their team.

We are all waiting to hear news, but that doesn't mean we can't shoot the sh#t while we wait.

Possibly. Idk about the Rams but I’ve seen enough of Van. He’s a decent WR3 but so is Sko and he’s more versatile…and has some scrap. Van has no scrap.

Idk Cooks’ cost. We don’t need him if he’s expensive.

Sko isn’t the deep threat that Van is. People want to hold onto the not fighting for the underthrown ball thing, but will ignore Sko dropping one that hit him in the hands. Van went over 800 yards in his second season. Sko has to be versatile, because as a pure receiver, he’s not even a 3rd. And I like Sko. I think Van is being extremely under appreciated by this board. He is literally the deep threat. This offense doesn’t work without one.

Something big going down tonight?

Chubb and Jerry Jeudy for the Rams 2nd, Van Jefferson, and Tutu Atwell.

Just a guess.

And Hunt for fifth

I think it will be Chubb or Josh Allen OLB (edge) for the Jags. IMO one or the other will sign with the Rams on Tuesday.

Akers probably goes to Denver if the Rams get Chubb as part of that trade. I see it as being Akers, 2nd and 3rd next year and a first or second in 2024. Allen probably cost the Rams a 2nd next year and a 2nd in 2024 though they might want Akers as well as part of the deal. In that case, I see them getting Akers and a 2nd for Allen. The Jags are starting a rookie RB with a JAG behind him.

I would do whatever necessary if it's a foundational piece.
