They went aggressively after Miller but were outbid by the Bills. They went aggressively after CMC but were outbid by the 69ers. They reportedly went after Brian Burns but did not have the capital to match the multiple first round picks required by Carolina. I’m positive they are not done pursuing options for Edge, RB and OBJ but they are limited by their cap and draft picks. That looks like as much or more than any other team in the NFL except maybe Buffalo. How does that translate to “not all in” this year.
Just my opinion guy. There's no proof they tried for Burns. They have a complacent look to me. Offers don't make the team better.

I've been a fan 39 years and only 15 of those the Rams have made the playoffs or had a winning season. I just want them to continue winning like the rest of you. So forgive me if I'm impatient lol. Sorry

I think we’ll try for Hunt, Chubb and to resign OBJ and I have serious doubts we sign any of them…

I do think FOs are kinda salty about how we’ve done things and will only be too happy to expect a premium from us.

I will say that if we lose to the 9ers, don’t expect us to sign any of them…

We need this game against the 9ers. It’s a must win for a number of reasons…

I wouldn't go as far as saying we'll get no one. We will trade for someone. Teams are holding out right to the end before trading players for what they deem the best offers. They are smart to wait and see if any of the teams that are buyers have further injuries at the position of need. If they do, that helps them out in the long run because it raises the price tag for what that team is trying to trade for.

Can Tevin Coleman help? Vet RB, just released by Niners. Nothing special, but depth.

Personally, I'd rather trade Rapp, Tutu & Van Jeff than our 2023 2'nd. I'll take my chances that Snead will eventually hit on that pick, and for 2023 I want to see another IOL drafted with our top pick.
Dude what the hell would we get back for Tutu? A airline issued pack of peanuts? Seriously guy has no value outside a 2024 7th rounder.
Jake basically sums up what most have tried to convey it's downright horrible:

I am also a long time fan. Since 1972. So my point is McSnead are not only the most “all in” coaches the Rams have ever had. They are arguably the most “all in” tandem in the NFL. The only thing holding them back is a little thing called the NFL cap. I appreciate them being aggressive on turning over every stone to improve the team but I understand and respect all Rams fans that want more.

But he WON it with Stafford, are you kidding me? Without Stafford, we lose in the Divisional round...even with AD. Don't let recency bias cloud your memory.
Yet, you said McVay would not endure without them…

But he has. He built a Super Bowl quality team without Stafford.

He has endured.

Why do people believe PFF? Take for example, Gaines. On many pass rushing downs when they are playing a mobile QB like Kyler, he's often times playing interior contain. You can see that in his intentional lack of penetration. That's all part of Morris' soft scheme. He's soft in all aspects of his defense. He plays for the offense to make a mistake. But he does not play to FORCE mistakes. Their so called analyst don't know what they are seeing. Their matrix was written by someone who doesn't know American football. Case in point, why aren't pass protection holding penalties credited as pressures? In fact because of the 10 yd loss, they should be viewed as a quasi-sack or at least a pressure if the penalty is accepted. Players are penalized when they intentionally are playing contain therefore slower to get to the QB.

Watch Morris' scheme and it's soft in all aspects of the play. This is why I dislike his schemes. He's not playing to win he's playing not to lose....so how's that working out? This should be a top 2 or 3 defensive unit defensively. They aren't even in the top 10. He plays his friends not who gives them the best matchup.

Ask the teams why they believe pff. Along with the 31 other teams that pay for their data.

Excellent point. The outcome of the 9er game could determine how the FO wants to proceed—whatever thoughts they might have.

The Rams are indeed trying to trade for Bradley Chubb. Get it done Snead. He would be the final piece in this defense. Morris would have no excuses anymore. We should know Tuesday. Frankly I think over the long run Chubb might be more affordable. They can extend him and make his $16M a signing bonus over 5 years and structure his next two years as cap friendly.

Personally, I love this trade if Snead can get it done. Lewis is too damn slow to play edge in the NFL. With Chubb, Gaines, AD and Floyd that is a championship caliber DL.

Twice before we have hit big windows of offensive inconsistency due to complete abandonment of the run game. Both those seasons the offense was put back on track by trading for a RB who can carry the load.

I think it is glaringly obvious that trading for a RB who can carry the load will help us greatly. Additionally I think that type of RB is very affordable.

Edge remains our biggest need but I don't see us winning any bidding wars for guys who will help us. So the quickest and most realistic way to make this team a lot better is trade for a RB.

This is where I am at.

The NFL is an offense driven league. Teams are going to score. You HAVE to outscore the other guy.

I think our defense is good enough, despite the lack of sacks. And… I think we can tweak things schematically to better hide this weakness.

But we LOST 3 games only scoring 10, 9, and 10. THAT is not how you win in today’s NFL.

Without much hesitation, I prioritize RB and the offense.
