i’m starting to get downright impatient. If Les Snead doesn’t get his act together and make a big trade as I’m sure we’re all expecting, I will be very disappointed. This is Los Angeles we’re talking about, not some Podunk town like Santa Clara, California.

Lets go, Les!!!

Get the impatience; and realize the Rams might prefer to move more quickly but it Takes-Two-to-Tango.

I believe, last year the Trade Deadline was November 2nd; and Miller was acquired on November 1st.

This year the deadline is November 1st. There might be an on-going dialogue where the Rams and another team are close but not quite there; and, maybe that other team is less than certain at the moment.

An example (Just Conjecture) is Denver and Bradley Chubb.
Maybe Denver would move him for a 2nd and 4th over the next two drafts but the Rams are only willing to do a 3rd and a 5th for a player that is (Von-Miller-like) going to be a free agent after the season. Maybe some front office people in Denver think they can still be a factor despite the 2-4 record. However, if the Broncos lose (at home) tomorrow to the Jets, maybe the Denver decision-makers start to think a '3rd round pick sounds pretty damn good, and maybe we can get the Rams to up the 5th to a 4th.'

Everyone has to chill. We all know what we need so does McVay/Snead relative to the cap and future draft considerations.

As another poster said other playoff teams have deficiencies that need to be addressed. We are not alone.

Me personally I am not a fan of getting CMC for multiple reasons injury, cost and draft picks that could end up being a 1 year rental ala Von. The biggest reason is I doubt he makes the run game better with such a bad line Gurley had the same issue the pass game he would add value is that worth it I doubt it.

Burns would really help a great deal. Obj same. An upgrade a LG if possible same at RB but we can't do all this and Carolina currently is not interested in trading Burns only Burns can make it happen by saying he will not resign with them imo.

Brian Burns feels out of reach with the Rams not having a 2023 first rounder.

Carolina does need better players though, so just maybe a combination of high 2024 draft picks along with a personnel upgrade for the Panthers can get us over the hump ?

Let's not forget people are thinking the Rams are falling apart at the seams. So say 2024 AD retired or the Rams just are still on a free for all or going down slowly whatever the case that 2024 pick hold even more value to a team like Carolina as it could be on the top 15 hopefully it's nowhere near but some gms may think they smell blood.

Look at the eagles they are off to this great start and what they have the saints 1st rounder this year???? So that team could be on its way to building something very special a 2024 1st is valuable a 2024 1st from a team a gm thinks is imploding before us is that much more valuable let alone really does well for a gms resume if he throws that dart and is indeed correct and if he isn't well it's still a 1st round pick.

I think we will make a trade. Not huge but a smaller trade. Still, the most likely scenario is no trade at all. Just being realistic.

Which is fine because the best additions to this team are the injured guys getting healthy & returning (including potentially OBJ). Get the OL in decent order and a RB addition (Williams/other) and athletic WR addition (VJ…& maybe OBJ) - and this could be a very different team. That’s without any big trade.

I was gonna put my post in blue font but just got lazy…

While I am most certainly impatient af, I 100% do not want Les making dumb deals to satisfy my impatience.

I really hope we get Burns or Chubb and D’Ernest Johnson, but our biggest issues rn are OL, heath of offensive skill position players and getting everyone fully integrated into the offense and that includes McVay’s game planning and Stafford’s eyes.

I agree that we may see deals happen after Sunday as teams see where their season is headed.

I say there is zero chance we don't make a trade. It's our MO plus we need help so something is definitely in the works. Think the problem is the haggling as I can see teams posturing to get more than we may be willing to give up. If we make a splash trade, it'll be for an edge but we will get someone, just not sure who. Besides, my balls won't stop tingling when talking about a trade in general hahahaha

So we need an Edge starter and an OL starter to stand a chance to make a playoff run. I think anything less means we are in playoffs but low team on the totem pole at best. What are the chances of trading for an impactful upgrade for both 50%? 25%?

I honestly think trying to upgrade the offensive line this year is a waste. That is the one area where continuity is most important. Plug in a mid level vet a team doesn't want isn't gonna magically improve the line. At least not right away. At 3-3 its not like we're in a position to be waiting for that continuity to develop.

Edge rusher is a high priority. Morris is doing a good job without a consistent pass rush. But we saw what happens when we play good quarterbacks like Josh Allen. I don't care how well a QB runs. Get some pressure and make him throw earlier than he wants and we'll see more mistakes.

Next priority is running back. Henderson is an average NFL running back. Brown is an experienced backup. They don't need a bell cow type back but they do need something a little better. And more depth. I'd love to get David Montgomery. The Raiders didn't pick up Josh Jacobs 5th year option. I wonder if they'd be open to trading him instead of letting him walk?

Here's what I would do:

2023 second round pick, 2024 first round pick, 2025 first round pick, 2025 fourth round pick, Chatarius Atwell, and Taylor Rapp to the Carolina Panthers for Brian Burns.

2023 sixth round pick to the Cleveland Browns for D'Ernest Johnson.

2023 seventh round pick to the Mnnesota Vikings for Oli Udoh.

Cam Akers and 2024 sixth round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for Andre Dillard.

Is that a lot of trades? Sure, but they're trades that make sense.

That is entirely too much for Brian burns. But I like the player
