So the 9ers blew a ton of draft capital on their injured "QB of the future" and now they trade a bunch more picks for an often injured CMC...

Following the McSnead path could really fuck a team up quickly...
I certainly hope that’s how it plays out!!!!

For Burns it's similar to a Jalen Ramsey I'd offer whatever it took. That includes this year's 2nd and next year's 1st Akers etc.
Not sure Burns is even close to Ramsey value, 75.

Let’s don’t get carried away with ‘new car fever’ like when we were kids. Lol.

I didn't say he was but my point was I'd give up the 1st 2nd and Akers or another pick which isn't two firsts plus like Ramsey rt?
Point being I'd do wteva it takes to get him within reason obviously.

I hope so too.
I'm not predicting shit btw.

I'm just saying that it's possible they could end up in trouble by following a dangerous path that in all honesty barely, with lots of little miracles, worked out for the team that blazed it...

Beating the Rams isn't how the 9ers will get to the promisedland.... if they don't do it this season, is Trey Lance going to get them there?

If CMC follows the typical career trajectory for injury prone veteran NFL RBs changing teams, and if Trey Lance stays on his current trajectory, then the 9ers better get it done this year.
Outside of games vs us, they dont look like a team of destiny to me and CMC might improve that some.... but how much and for how long?

The Rams are already in the midst of dealing with the consequences of our build a SB winner strategy but we already pulled it off.

Going big comes with big expectations. They went big for Lance, big for McCaffery. If they don't pan out, heads will roll.
Even if they beat the Rams again next week.

CMC wouldve been an exciting addition to our team and I hate any good player joining the 9ers.... but I wouldn't have been happy if the Rams had given up so much for a RB, any RB, and if a team is going to take that chance and end up regretting it, what better team than the 49ers?

I guess I just see “success” very, very differently.
In the last 5 drafts he’s gotten 3 starters… pretty good ones, too.

Again… based on the value of the picks.. tremendously successful.

You just can’t help yourself can you?

I guess not.

In team building terms… in what a draft pick is worth… you know, the stuff that actually matters…. They’ve been VERY successful in the 6th round.

You don’t get it? No big.

Just watched bunch of Kyron Williams and De’ernest Johnson and both impressed me very much. Williams I’ve seen a thousand times but he reminds me of CMC in a lot of ways the burst the receiving the way he squirts through the hole (minds out of gutter lol) just love it.

Now Johnson he seems to be cam Akers but with his head up and super intellectual in how he runs. He sets up blocks he is patient in doing that repeatedly. His cutback ability and spotting the hole is again just smart great vision knows where to go. I’d be thrilled with these two honestly. My biggest takeaway on John’s is just how smart he is in reading the moment the hole setting up the block and cutting back just wow.

Jerry Hughes and KLavon Chaisson also may be available.

For late round pick.. I’d take Hughes.

Chaisson was one of the two first round picks Jacksonville got from the Rams for Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey has the same number of sacks the past two games that Chaisson has in his career ... Two!

Yup… I think a bag of chips would be enough.

D’Ernest Johnson would be great. Rams will add a RB… wouldn’t it be funny if that RB out performs CMC?

Brian Burns feels out of reach with the Rams not having a 2023 first rounder.

  1. Bradley Chub...Pick & Akers doable.
  2. Matt Hennessy...Hopefully the Falcons will play
  3. D'Ernest Johnson....Again should not cost much.
Those three would translate into One Bourbon, One Scotch & One Beer.

You don’t understand ratios?
In a classic Andy Griffith Show, Andy is trying to explain to his son Opie about poverty in the area; and tells him 'there are about one and a-half boys in poverty every ten square miles.'

Opie replies that he 'never saw that' and Andy asks 'saw what?' Opie replies ... 'half-a-boy'

Andy says 'It's not half-a-boy. It's a Ratio'. Opie shakes his head, and says 'Poor Horatio'.
