Madden...I'm really starting to disklike that game. The annoying random, over-cliched tweets are so pointless. Is anyone really entertained or even reads them? Can't the time spent in creating these fake tweets be better spent in fixng the animations? I'm tired of having players randomly go in different directions or spaz out in during simple tackles?

BTW Watchdogs sounds boring. Yeah let's spend 60 bucks to hack virtual computers.

I bought Amazing Spider-Man 2. Graphics are terrible. The dialogue is terrible. But man the story and gameplay is fun.

Yea, I'm still stuck in the World of Warcraft. Can't get away from it. Use my console for FPS games.

I guess I've been spoiled for way too long with WoW, and I can't play single player games anymore.

I'm all over WoW. I posted my horrifying main character's current transmog in a thread a while back before I made this one to confine video game talk to one thread.

Just looked the thread up. That is one horrifying look, for sure...lol.

I usually play in cycles of a couple months between Call of Duty, and WoW. Whichever one I get bored of, I go back to the other.

Currently just trying to finish all the shit they are going to remove with the next expansion, which includes the the mounts for my 200 achievement.

I'm not convinced on Watchdogs yet, but I don't have the next gen stuff, so I'm iffy on how good it will be on PS3. However when I get the PS4, I may look closer, but honestly I'll probably be getting ready to pick up NHL 15, and then Assassins Creed 5.

Sandbox is a game that means you can explore the whole game as you wish, and explore where you want to. Games that aren't sandbox are like Call of Duty, where you are forced in a linear path from point to point.

As someone who's played it, it's not just hacking computers. You can hack damn near anything that's electronic. Smartphones, city bridges, traffic lights, road blocks, cameras, anything you could ever want to hack, you can hack. And that's literally only a small part of the game. Want to be a vigilante and beat the living shit out a guy who stole some old lady's purse? You can do that. Want to have fun blowing up shit to watch people scream and panic? You can do that too. Want to play online games? Yep, that's available to you. Want to hack people's smartphones, access their bank accounts, and rob them fucking blind through an ATM? Hell, even I do that. Or you could be like ninety percent of all gamers and go on a massive rampage for shits and giggles.

Trust me when I say that this is the best sandbox game I've ever played. I'd stack it against any GTA game, and Watch Dogs would win - and it wouldn't even be a contest.

Yeah I'd choose this over GTA. But ehh that whole concept just seems so boring. A hacking game...sounds so nerdy lol.

You still haven't done AC5? I've played the main story like 4 times now and it never gets old. One mission where you have to assassinate this dude...I felt like a badass doing it cuz I got so good at stealth mode on the rooftops.

I did AC4, Black Flag. I AC5 hasn't come out yet... Or Unity, whatever they're calling it. I'm assuming it's AC5 since it's a new character.

Finished 100% completion on GTA 5...then got bored of the online mode.
Right now i'm hooked on The Last of Us Factions multiplayer. Takes some time to learn the ropes, i got beat up pretty bad at first. I like that it's more team/stealth/tactics based than the usual ADD online shooter.

Doh, that's what I meant. Four. The one mission I'm talking about is when you go to find Torres but face El Tiburon instead. I had my black outfit on, it was night, storming...awesome.

Yeah, 5 is Unity set in the French Revolution. The PS3 version is going to be Comet. Rumors are it's a sequel to 4 and you get to be a Templar. Which doesn't sound nearly as fun, but who am I kidding. I'll get it anyway.

I can't remember the last video game I played that was fun and original. Maybe I just got old and lost the taste for gaming. But it sure seems like the industry has become stale and boring. Everything is in 1st person perspective and gives me motion sickness. I like me some turn based strategy or a good, old style, rpg. Doesn't seem to be many of those anymore. Rocksmith is the only thing I play lately but it's not really a game.

I've played every MMO out there just about. Everquest 1 and 2, WOW, Star Wars Galaxies, SWTOR, LOTR. I have a lifetime membership for WOW but I burned out on that game 7-8 years ago and haven't played it since. The best one out of all of them was SWTOR. The PVP arenas were pretty fun in that game. I'll probably get Everquest next when that comes out and give it a try. MMO's are the only games I can get into these days but I haven't kept up on what new ones are coming other than EQ Next.

I'm pretty sure WoW doesn't have lifetime memberships. Otherwise I would have bought one a while ago. :)

Beyond that, I've toyed with Lord of the Rings Online and didn't care much for it. The Sims Online was awful and is gone now. I have the first Guild Wars but didn't do much with it. Really, the only other MMO I do much of anything in is Star Trek Online.

But I can understand what you mean about the FPS glut. I'm not big on them myself.

There isn't a lifetime membership for the public but my brother worked for Blizzard and was a developer for the game. He gave me and a couple of his friends lifetime memberships. I used to get all their games for free too. It was pretty cool. But then I usually had to buy the beer or pay for dinner every time I saw him so it might actually have been a better deal for him. He's no longer with Blizzard though so no more freebies.

I felt the same way about LOTR. I played my intial free time period and that was it. It just didn't click with me. There is one game I played recently that I liked. XCOM enemy unknown was pretty good. It has some of the turn based strategy I like in it. It's not as good as the originals though IMO. Those were classics.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, WoW should be able to stay alive and pay-to-play long enough that a lifetime subscription for the public is probably quite a while away.

And I agree with you on XCOM. I have it and the originals on Steam. (And XCOM on PS3 as well since it was given away as part of the Playstation Plus plan. I have TONS of games through that, and they keep adding 6 per month, 2 for PS4 [which I don't have], 2 for PS3 and 2 for PS Vita.)

Try Wildstar. I'm having a blast so far. The music in this game is absolutely amazing. It's kind of like Tera online, in that you have to aim your attacks, and can dodge other's abilities. It has developers that used to work at blizzard.

The art style reminds me of bordlands, without the black outline on everything. The spell effects are pretty awesome, as well.

Playing a game of Madden 25, and some random observations:

* As mentioned on my franchise team, I signed Tim Tebow to back up Bradford. Playing the Cowboys, Bradford strained his bicep running in a touchdown. Since we were up 14-0, I decided to wait on Bradford until the injury was gone, so Tebow came in. Tebow throws a touchdown pass... and he Tebows afterwards!

* This game is dramatically increasing my perception of Austin Pettis' value. Pettis is everywhere when the other receivers are covered and is very surehanded.

* 90% of the time on kickoffs, the computer is kicking away from Tavon Austin. I really haven't seen that before, but the computer fears him.

* On a long punt return, Jo-Lonn Dunbar got called for clipping. Fisher called him over and gave him an earful. I had to laugh to keep from crying on that one.
