With growth comes more diverse opinions and ages. Some posters have never known anything “Rams” outside of the McVay era.

Pretty much world culture now, attention span of a flea and the end of the world is now.

I lived through 2005-2016, shit like Sunday doesn't phase me in the least bit. Frustrating for sure but big picture looks good. People's need for perfection is mind boggling and just has to be exhausting to live with.

I'm of the belief that the Rams can beat anybody when they bring their A game. Which we did NOT do on Sunday night. The team was going around all week giving celebration speeches after making that trade, and we totally didn't take that game seriously.

Let me tell you something you already know. The NFL ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as the NFL. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!

yeah this league is super rough.. rougher than ever.

The days of dominant teams like the 2007 patriots is over in my mind - the cardinals are super strong right now, but we will see.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I am ready to storm a beach-head right now.

The fun is in the winning, but the journey is part of it.

We all want to win the SB as Rams fan but lets enjoy each and every week, It wasnt that long ago well yall know the rest....

Win the week!

I'm an over-reacting lunatic who knows it's a long season. That's why I stopped posting from just before halftime to now.

Hopefully, a little self-awareness keeps me from going off the rails.

Not in the least...just pissed off that they shit the bed in a game that they should have won.

I agree. I never think any game is a guaranteed win. Certainly not against a really tough, physical, possession team like Tennessee. But they were missing Henry and without our help from turnovers didn't have much ability to score. If we hadn't played into their hands we would have won.

Some of have predicted that the Rams would run into opponents who could put a serious crimp in our downfield passing game. We've seen this movie before. Chicago, New England, Miami, Tennessee. Our strategy was the same as always: throw the ball downfield until we get the lead. Tennessee was ready for it.

We assisted them by doing a great job of playing their game. We kept dropping back, looking deep, and holding the ball too long against a tough defense designed to cover downfield and get to our qb. Which they did until they got the lead and we were playing from behind in their world.

Imo the lesson should be: Don't use the same predictable strategy when it means playing to a strong opponent's strength. At least have an alternative approach ready and more flexibility to change the game plan quickly. Prepare this in advance. Say, in training camp.

Respond to an effective defense by adjusting. Some kind of grind it out, run the ball, short passes, quick outlets, play action, draw plays, type game plan. Make the opponent then react and change their defense. Then go downfield. If they don't change the D, be patient and take what they give you. Be prepared to win in a different way.

You can bet that the players took this harder than us fans. These are world class, hyper competitive athletes that flat out embarrassed themselves on national TV. I expect an angry game Sunday. Just in time for our friends in Santa Clara.

This is a huge week and a difficult challenge. Arizona got the monkey off their back with their win here earlier this year. It's time for us to shine up there and do the same. McVay knows this is on him so I hope he has a backup plan if the initial 20 play script goes off the rails a bit. Keeping Von out another week is tough but it's the long play here. 5 regular season plus hopefully 4 playoff games (3 if AZ stumbles). It could all pay off.

My concern isn't making the playoffs. I have a high degree of confidence in that (I always have). It's how will they play once they do that is my concern.

When I break down the losses, I see a disturbing trend. The problem lies with the coaches and their philosophy on how the game is played. The problem isn't in the players. McVay is hyper-aggressive, and the opposition has used it against him. They have seen as I have that McVay has problems adjusting on the fly (i.e. during the game). The other is Morris and his soft defense. When Morris plays aggressively we see just how good this defense can be. But Morris doesn't keep his foot on the gas. He for whatever reason backs off and allows the opposition to stay in the game.

I predicted this issue weeks ago. If the Rams get behind they will have problems catching up. Morris will not allow his defense to smother the opposing offense. Replay after replay shows the Ram DBs playing flat-footed, i.e. not contesting the reception. His defense is too soft. Don't forget Morris' angry outburst that he doesn't care about stats. Well, he should because those stats are a reflection of the play on the field.

This doesn't mean I've given up. Far from it. But I'm not blind to the issues that I see either. For some reason it's taboo to criticize mistakes. Yes, mindless criticism is annoying. That said if it's done by illustrating what the perceived issue is, then IMO it simply leads to dialog.

If they chose to lose a game, the Titans game would def be one. We've won every game we had no business losing.
Last year, after the Jest game, I almost gave up on the Rams -- they had absolutely no business losing to a basement dweller.

I still appreciate that we have a really good team. Sucks that we're a finesse offense which prior to the season was my fear but I still do enjoy watching them do their thing and having a winning record. Right now it looks like we'll come up short with everyone else but at least we're in it. And there is a chance the right combo of guys steps up down the stretch so I appreciate being in things still as well.
