Can I mess with you on the misspelling of root? (And I almost misspelled misspelling)
Take me out to the ball game,Take me out with the crowd;Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,I don’t care if I never get back.Let me root, root, root for the home team,If they don’t win, it’s a shame. For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,At the old ball game.

Kupp's been instrumental to this offense since he settled in. Every stretch of games we haven't had him this offense is a completely different beast. If you go back to McVay's days at Washington he had a very similar pass game threat at TE (incidentally similar to Kupp in size and weight), though as good as Jordan Reed was he was not in Kupp's class. So way I see it McVay requires a slot/middle of field threat to be at his best as a play caller. And in Kupp he found a player who went above and beyond his scheme in his gameday awareness, recognition of coverages, and overall scheme mastery.

If we had Kupp in that first Super Bowl we would have a title under our belts. Because the Patriots barely beat us as it was, but Kupp would have torched that gameplan and forced them to adjust. Belicheat admitted he had planned on being forced out of the gameplan but it never happened. That was because our WR/QB combo was not good enough. But if Kupp was there I am confident it would have been.

IRT contracts the Rams have their strengths and weaknesses. They are quite average in their signing of FAs overall, as this past FA season can attest. Not special by any means. But they are good at paying the players who deserve it, among whom Kupp is included. And they are also good at structuring deals to cover them if things go south. Which, incidentally, they have an out with Kupp after this season.

What is interesting is McVay prioritized what would have been Kupp's replacement in trying to move up for Bowers in the last draft. Because Bowers is basically a bigger Kupp. LaPorta would have been the same, in terms of filling that role for McVay. So I think the Rams are not stupid in this issue. And I think they are going to keep trying to replace him in the draft, because they are aware his style of play comes with injury. Lastly when I say "replace" that isn't to mean it would happen immediately. Like for example if they had drafted LaPorta or Bowers, two ideal fits over the past two drafts, either would undoubtedly have been quickly worked in as TEs in most of their their snaps with Kupp on the field with them.

Is this the StL Post????
Those were rough days my friend. Although I did love their content those guys were real football dudes that knew how to break down film. I only wish we had the same type of sports journalism today with the LA rams.

2 Super Bowl wins in 56 years as a fan with the latest one directly due to Super Bowl MVP Cooper Freakin Kupp. I’d spend every last Kroenke dollar for that Super Bowl win because I may never see another in my lifetime.
All of this fantasy GM BS is something I don’t care about
This is a guy who gets it. He understands how rare it is to win a superbowl. I always laugh when I hear talking heads say the Rams mortgaged their future to win the Lombardi. FUCK YEAH we did and I would do it again and again.

There's a reason why a dynasty football team is so rare, because it's fuckin near impossible to do.

puka emerged cause he was hurt

So he’s worth the money because of the Super Bowl i strongly disagree that’s one season and 1 game out of 8
Hate to say it, but 10 out of 10 teams are going to pay a triple crown player so he would have gotten paid by the Rams or someone else after pulling that off. No one can predict injuries after that. He's still a great WR when healthy so I'd hold of on saying he's gone until the year is done. Also mentioning Puka, who do you think mentored him? Who did Puka train with in the off-season? There is value besides what a player brings to the field and I think you are overlooking that fact. Unfortunately I think you are also falling victim of vehemently defending your position on he's not reliable. Without Kupp, we don't have a Superbowl and the Stafford trade looks way worse. He was actually looking like the old Kupp until that shitty hip drop tackle. With that said, Kupp does need to show something when he comes back without having an injury occur. That to me will better determine his future standing with the Rams.

Well, all I'll say further on this discussion is lets see how this year plays out. Saying we're better off without Kupp when he's still got 10+ games to play this year seems dumb. A lot of ball left to play.

Kupp since 2017 is the 9th Best overall in the NFL and Missed basically a season compared to everyone else! Please stop with Kupp is leaving shit. If anyone is leaving us, its Shula or our backup QBs. LMAO but a few more games will tell that story.
