We have the 6th most turnovers in the entire NFL, with a turnover differential of 0. I don't believe any other team in the top 10 has a winning record.

You could say that we've just been giving away points and games as a result. If we get that cleaned up for the rest of the season I think we can beat anybody.

Along with that the run game needs to get more explosive. We need to be able to lean on it more. If we ask Jarod (or any QB for that matter) to pass the ball 40-50 times a week we're asking for trouble as far as picks and strip sacks.

Henderson got the breakout run yesterday but Akers made the difference for me, he forced his way basically throughout the redzone for the first TD and we really needed that. We need to see more of him.

During the game The Rams were minus 2 (-2) in turnovers. I guess after the Webster fumble The Rams had 2 more take aways.

Just as an example the Hill TD & Gaines fumble recovery changed & secured the game.

The penalty game is also another stat that gets a little over looked as well.
Sean Mcvay’s Rams teams have been better over the years in both categories. - At least off hand?

Maybe those were the playoff seasons ?

Fumblin' bastids! ~ Wendell Tyler

The Weber Wonder Bread delivery guy.

The Sad part about Wendel was he & Hacksaw start the changing of the guard. Then again those 2 Cornhusker duo were as good as any. How the game has changed, but The Rams still run a little bit of the Old West Coast Offense & Shanahan is the perfect coach for that team.

Glad The NINERS LOST. Now it is time for The Rams to beat-the-Cheat.

Did love me some Sam-Bam-Cunningham back in the day from SC.

Hard to win a game when you're turning the ball over, don't think anyone will argue with that. I also agree that we need to get better production out of our run game. The opportunities have been there the past few games and luckily we were able to hit on a few against the Cards. Our line hasn't been the best in terms of run blocking but our RBs don't do our rushing attack any favors by running into the back of the lineman when there's a hole if they would just cut it back that way. Not sure if the coaching or play is too over simplified (just hit this gap as hard and fast as possible) but I feel we leave a lot of yards on the table when we're running the ball.

Heh! This brings back some memories (nightmares?) of Wendell Tyler's fumbling propensities. One time when asked about his fumbling he said, "all the great backs fumble."
I was like, umm no they don't and you ain't a 'great back.' You couldn't rip the ball out of Walter Payton's arm with a crow bar, Wendell.
He was exciting to watch run although one would go through copious amounts of Excedrin and Anacin.
Good stuff.

That is the secret sauce for victory. No more than 1 turnover per game (0 preferred by s#%! happens).

I remember Tyler and the 79 Super bowl. The Pittsburgh rb's got all the ink. But the best running back on the field that day was Wendell Tyler. Throwing up on the sidelines.

That's my biggest issue with Akers. He EXPLODES....right into the back of blockers at times. A little bit more patience and vision will go a long way for him.

this is why I keep thinking this game against the cheaters is pivotal. They will face a defense just like Miami’s. Can they get through it without he turnovers? Will McVay have a real answer to that defense? And, will Goff and company be able to execute it?

If the answers are all yes then it will be a huge step forward. If not then this team still has a lot to accomplish.

that the run game needs to get more explosive.
The best way to make this running game more explosive is to
continue feeding our young explosive backs.
Akers and Hendo are both big plays waiting to happen , but they have
get the touches. Forget the three man rotation.
Give Akers the lead , let Hendo spell him and feed the hot hand,
I really like the contrast between the two running styles.

We need to be able to lean on it more. If we ask Jarod (or any QB for that matter) to pass the ball 40-50 times a week we're asking for trouble as far as picks and strip sacks.

IMHO the rest of your post is spot on.
You want to stop Goffs turnovers? Give him a real running game. 2018 Style

I think we're one of the last penalized teams in the league. So we're getting that right for sure.

When's our last turnover free game? I don't think we have one this year

That's The Florida State in him. He's not used to sustained blocks lol
