I think its great. In 1994, a lot of Americans didn't even know they were hosting the World Cup but now there's loads more interest.

Speaking as an American that was a game that Ghana deserved to win. But I'll take the 3 points. The last 10 minutes was very exciting.

The Americans just looked so much worse after Josey went down. If he doesn't return I don't think the US can escape the group unless Portugal decides to lay down after their 4-0 result and Germany decides to lay down (assuming they beat Ghana and clinch moving on prior to their game with the US). If the US ties Portugal I think they will move on based on the differential.

I watched the game last night from start to finish. That was the most gut wrenching, painful, fingernails on a chalkboard sporting event I've ever forced myself to suffer through.

Hard to believe we won that. I probably shouldn't say this, but somebody else who watched it said it reminded them of of how Spags used to coach the Rams. Hahahahaha

Anyway, Ghana looked like they were playing a completely different sport than our boys were. I still can't believe we actually won. Riveting.

U.S.A.,,, U.S.A.,,, U.S.A. !!!

Side note.... I really loved the Ghana jerseys,,, and their fans were dressed to kill. Wow! Did you see the one Ghana fan who painted his face with some kind of white stuff that the camera man did a slow motion thing to ? Priceless!

the problem with social media... I paused the game for a phone call and was about 15-20 minutes behind. Sat down on the couch , opened twitter on my phone and read that USA had won 2-1... on my TV the score was still 1-0

You aren't trying hard enough. I managed to avoid the Superbowl score for the best part of 48 hours before getting the chance to watch it. I had to walk around with my eyes closed and my fingers in my ears going la la la and avoid the knowing looks of the one other NFL fan at my work

Hopefully the problems with getting the ball forward was due to Altidore going down. I'm not that hopeful though, as JK had a half to switch his gameplan. Johanssen wasn't terrible, just nervous. He had some beautiful passes when he got to touch the ball, but we need someone that can take a long pass and hold up the defense to relieve pressure, I'm not sure Johanssen or Wondo can do this.

I'm supporting England but still hate every one of the players if that's possible (love Woy though).
