Eden Dzeko to fire you to glory! I went over to Germany in April and saw Stuttgart play Dortmund. Stuttgart had Ibesevic up front who is Dzeko's strike partner. He is decent as well I thought.

Right 20 minutes until I watch my first soccer game since Crewe won the league 2 playoff final in 2012, anything changed since then?

Anybody else think that Robin van Persie's header may end up being the coolest goal of the World Cup?

It was a thing of beauty.

RvPs header was stunning. That's an incredibly difficult skill.

I watched all the games so far and I'm hoping to be able to watch as many as possible- thankful they are on in the evening here so work doesn't get in the way. And I'm single just now, so women don't get in the way either!

The best bit of the header was the analysis afterwards, the BBC had a graphic on the screen which showed the path of the ball and how far it traveled (52 yards) one of the "analysts" says after watching it "That pass must have traveled 50-60 yards". The best thing about the World Cup is it makes you appreciate American commentary so much more.

Oh god yes. Football commentators in the UK are terrible.

For some of the games the BBC do an alternative radio 1 commentary which to be fair is hilarious

I heard them bigging that up on Radio 1 yesterday, gave it a try for 5 minutes but not being a soccer fan needed the play by play, although Mark Lawrenson must be one of the most inept people in the world to have had such a high end job for so long.
