I saw a bunch of replies to this...so....I don't think anyone has died on the Pro football field. It's much safer on the field than where a lot of these men grew up. I bet the death percentage among police officers is much higher than the NFL. I bet more kids have drown in swimming pools than have been killed in an NFL game.
I know the risks and so do the players. Can't count the number of interviews with retired players where they say they knew the risks and would do it the same again. And lets not pretend they need any fans validation for what they're doing because they're not doing it for us. They're doing it so they can earn the kind of money that will set their families up for generations. Which is great and they're entitled to do it. I don't have an issue with the players or owners earning the stupid amounts of money they do. My issue with AD and his representation is how they're going about doing it. There are people in his draft class that are showing him up by doing it IMO the right way. If he wanted my approval, which I'm sure he doesn't give a damn about, he'd be in camp negotiating. Instead he's showing us it's all about him while Zach Martin and OBJ are in camp helping their teams get better while he's on the other side of the country from Rams practice. But maybe that's why they're better teams maybe they just drafted better people. You don't have to feel sorry for anyone. NFL players make their choices. It would just be nice if people recognized the stakes here.

School teachers are underpaid...firemen...lawmen...armed forces....professors.....some medical professionals...construction workers...
I was shocked at the death rate of landscapers....seriously.
Entertainers are overpaid....

If he signs I'll clap for him and say congrats. Then he better get his butt to work along with his other 62 teammates and earn that check just like they do.
Olgletree is going out there to earn it. Team captain & leader.
All or nothing showed how much he cares. He keeps his team fired up.
Donald in the last 2 years went of in games kissing his mind. Don't like the look at me , take my football home baby type.
Big baby should be his name. I bet he sucked his thumb until 5.
If people went out and bought uniforms of their favourite fire fighters, police officers, etc, they would make more money. It's really that simple. Football players don't make more money, because it's more dangerous. They make more money for their employers, plain and simple. Really no reason for debate.
Naw....they'd need a TV deal too...show a couple fires in progress:fuelfire:...:double:shoot :shooting:outs:wabbit:...and make CBS/NBC/ABC/ESPN pay for an hour slot...shoot those salaries up real quick likeIf people went out and bought uniforms of their favourite fire fighters, police officers, etc, they would make more money. Teams have won without Aaron Donald. We can do it too. Houston had the number one defense last year without JJ Watt.
