DeMarco terms: PHI, TEN swap 4th-round picks
6585.jpg

975 The Fanatic's Geoff Mosher reports the Eagles and Titans will swap fourth-round picks as the terms of the DeMarco Murray trade.

The exact terms haven't been established because compensatory picks will move the slots down, but it's obviously a minor price for Tennessee to pay. The Titans do have the No. 2 pick in round four, so the Eagles will move to the top of that round. The Titans move down 12 slots. The real reason Philadelphia dealt Murray was to get rid of his contract. That deal was revised upon his arrival in Nashville, and is now valued at $25.5 million over four years.

Bolts bolster receiver corps with Benjamin
7562.jpg

Chargers agreed to terms with WR Travis Benjamin, formerly of the Browns, on a multi-year contract.

Benjamin was widely expected to remain with the Browns, but talks broke down on the verge of free agency. He replaces Malcom Floyd as the Chargers' go-to deep threat, and will be a legitimate No. 2 alongside Keenan Allen. Still only 26, Benjamin could retain WR3 value in fantasy for a team that loves to throw.

I love McLeod and JJ
But Barron will be replaced my Mo Alexander which I'm good with
I think Barron is key but his loss won't be that devaststing

Barron was one of the main reasons our run defense remained very good despite no Quinn, no tree, and a one armed Laurinitis. I don't want to hope Alexander can replace his production which I have no reason to believe he can.

We aren't going to be an elite defense if we have to keep replacing half our starters every year because we develop them and then let other teams take them in their prime. Jenkins I'm ok with walking cause we have a proven backup in Gaines already. Barron, McLeod, and Hayes leaving would create holes worth worrying about for me at least. Obviously you disagree but I don't see it yet. But a lot of offseason left to go still.

I guess LA isn't the huge draw after all...

A part of me thinks that having fisher as our coach can't be that attractive to free agents. Ya he just signed an extension but they know he's another losing season away from being fired. Maybe I'm making too much out of that but I don't know...

Maybe the whole moving and camping and such out of a box without a real home is just not something they are up for. Comfort is a major driving force in Free Agency. This relocation may give some guys a reason to consider moving on. Who wants to be a vagrant for the next 3 seasons?

Mo Alexander does not equal Barron by a long shot. It would be a serious let down if Barron walks.

Jenkins will be replaced be Gaines we just need a decent depth pick up there whether free agency or draft.

McLeod has been better then people give him credit for. He was integral to our back seven and he will not be replaced easily. Letting him walk puts a serious hole back there as well.

I don't think that Alexander would be Barron's replacement. He would be McLeods replacement and that is where he has been groomed for. IMO.

Alexander would sub as the FS in games. He would be a rangier McLeod with better coverage skills. I think the Rams drafted him for that role. If they lost Barron they would be thin at LBer.

IMO Marvin Jones was the only clear upgrade option available in FA, which would have been nice. However at 8 mil a year? I dont know about that

I really think Mohammed Sanu would be a great signing. He could be the number one receiver that has the toughness that so many of us talk about when wishing we had Bolden. Sanu is very similar in many ways.

I honestly believe our defense is gonna be better without Chris Long (mr joker), William Hayes (funny guy #2) and JJ
If Baron is stupid enough to not resign after the Rams virtually resurrected his floundering career he's nuts and only shows faith doesn't work both ways and that faith takes a back seat to $$$$$& all day long
Alexander can take over for Barron if he walks and let's draft another!!!!
If money is worth more than reasonable and realistic offers and a sense of loyalty then let's let the UDFA's have a shot and feast off the talent of Donald, Quinn, Brockers, Tru, Ogletree, TJ, Gaines, Roberson, Joyner and guys like Westbrooks and that French dude Pissat (who looks like something out of the Osterman Weekend)
My point is there are tons of young complimentary football players who will buy into our system and eventually also get to the point where other teams offer astronomical terms -- like Rodney McLeod
I love McLeod and love the way the guy plays - to me he's the ultimate Ram. A guy who gives it his all every game. Now the Rams gave him the opportunity and cultivated his talent to the point he is gonna get some nice offers - same with Barron - and my thoughts are that this is a sign this organization knows what they are doing with player development and we need to do more of this (great drafts and even better UDFA signings) instead if buying fat and tired dudes
Let them all freaking walk
This team will always be the youngest in the NFL - guaranteed

ROBERSON is my new #1
And Trinca-Pissat !!!

There is something about Trinca-Pasat I really Like, I can't put my finger on it!!
Maybe it's because, on his Draft day, after he was Drafted, He said " I'm going to make the Teams that didn't Draft me Pay!!" (That as close to the actual quote as I can remember!!)

Brock Osweiler down to the Broncos or Texans
7450.jpg

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports free agent Brock Osweiler is deciding between the Broncos and Texans.

Per Rapsheet, the Broncos have "ramped up their efforts" to re-sign their longtime backup. Easily the best quarterback available after Ryan Fitzpatrick, Osweiler is ready to cash in on an extremely modest résumé.

A guy who wants to be a career back up.
Easy check (comparatively). Says a lot about his desire to play.
Glad we didn't sign him.

I don't know how much of a role he had in that decision. Dude is a career back up.

My point being that many were touting that players would be clambering to come play in magical LA
Being in LA doesn't mean the front office will suddenly throw money around irresponsibly. I haye to see guys go too but it's to early to become overly critical.

I'd rather pay him $8 million per than settle for more of the same. Seeing teams with better offenses than ours making key moves on WR, which is a shame because no team has a greater need than we do.

Don't get me wrong I think we need Mark Barron
I just believe Alexander is the guy to fill that role if he departs

When your watching all your key FAs in there prime walking out the door and all the other teams signing all the best FAs before the new league year even opens I don't think its being overly critical. What the hell is Snisher doing? were gonna have more holes than we can fill at this rate with only 6 draft picks. They have a ton of money to spend why not spend it? I don't want the rams rebuilding the first year in LA.
