Just bought two refurbished Pokemon games: Gold and Silver! Definitely planning on getting Yellow next.

One of my least fondest memories was trying to find, and catch, a Suicune in Emerald.
Without a Master ball.

Suicune isn't in Emerald, though. It's in the Kanto remakes (FireRed/LeafGreen) if you chose Charmander, and also in Gold/Silver/Crystal. But yes, capturing roaming legendaries without a master ball sucks.

That's right. I got my legendaries mixed up.
This was a long time ago, obviously. I started playing because my young son was hooked on it, so I gave it a try. Annnnnnd, then I was hooked. I just remember walking one step at a time, then back and forth in that same square, over and over again, until that sumbitch popped up. Only to watch him flee because fucking ultra ball.

I'm guessing that you're talking about Latios (the blue dragon). But yes, the best way to capture roaming legends is with a master ball, while the static legends (I'm guessing you caught Rayquaza or one of the golems with the master ball?) are ultra balls because you can just save-scum until you capture the static legends, while the roamers don't care for your ultra balls.

No, I meant suicune. I just got my games mixed up. Later on I did get the save Wizard or whatever it was called and started out with baby legendaries (including celibi) and a mewtwo. Ran roughshod over all those pansy gym leaders. I feel like I should pick up another GBA and do that again.

Ah, okay. I'm guessing you're talking about Gold/Silver/Crystal. And that's awesome! There's Pokemon games as roms that you can play on your computer, and with the right randomizer program, you can start out with whichever Pokemon you want.

Maybe you should do that again; Pokemon is addicting shit, ya know?

Power cord for the computer and a high end indoors antenna, both from Amazon.

Amazon use to be great, seemed you always got a knowledgeable American person who understood English very well, nowadays I'm wondering.

If I said anything offensive please delete.

Nah. I have the same issue with GoDaddy these days.

Just bought Pokémon Yellow. I know some of y’all don’t like Amazon, but for purchasing video games and the like, there’s not many who are better.

Was able to get my hands on this a little over a week ago. It's a Hog Fish. This is a species that my boys and I love to spearfish for. They are amazing to eat.

I never thought I'd be able to get one for my tank though since it is a game fish. The damn things have to be like a foot long before they are legal to have... so I never thought I could find one available in the aquarium trade. Well... I'm not sure how, and I don't even care how... but my local fish store guy was able to get one for me. He's just a baby but he has the exact peculiar behavior that the full grown ones have in the wild. Here's what he looks like now.

Here's a pic of one we speared... so his dorsal fins are going to grow out like this one pretty quickly. It's kinda like a rooster tail. These weirdo fish believe that when they stick these fins straight up... they make themselves completely invisible. Which is their evolutionary fuck up when it comes to dealing with spearfishermen. It's a funny behavior to watch though and they can also change colors instantly kinda like an octopus.

Check out this beast. He's about the size of a dinner plate. My son took this pic with his crappy phone so you can't really see all his cool details or his wild fangs that stick out of his mouth. I'll try and get a better shot with my phone once he settles into the tank more.

Is that the eel in the left corner? And I'm not an expert on fish species, so I'm wondering what, exactly, you got. But if it's the size of a dinner plate...damn.
