The dude was bipolar. It's an actual, objective, real, mental disorder. Treatable by medication... but if you don't take the meds you may likely do truly crazy things.
You can be bipolar and arrogant.

The dude trademarked Johnny Football, that's fairly fucking arrogant.

I really dont understand the dislike for Rodgers here. Green Bay is so dysfunctional in how they handle this dude. I really hope they do trade him and will enjoy watching them suffer thru a decade of 3-14 type football. LaFleur will be looking for a job within 2 years
I get it. He’s pissed off because the Packers had a chance to draft a QB that they really liked even though they had a very good QB on their roster. The same thing they did to Favre when they drafted Rodgers. It’s how they operate. It’s a smart move and it worked well for Rodgers to ride the pine for a few years. He was ready when they needed him.

Some players forget that the NFL is a business. He even got to choose which team he could go to. He bitches a lot for saying he’s been in a good organization for his whole career. He’s had a great career and is highly regarded. He even wanted his coach gone and got his way. He seems like a Diva. He has a lot to be grateful for, yet all he does is whine.

There my be some who "don't like Rodgers" and others who don't like any QB "sourcing the media". Rodgers as a QB has been great, which may be the fuel for much of the dislike. He learned from Favre.... "I may retire...no I'm not..,,,,,,.yes I am" = "Rodgers is unhappy......no he's not......yes he is"..

I don’t think it’s jealousy at all. Being a good QB doesn’t have anything to do with it. People loved Payton Manning. I don’t think fans hate Brady because he’s good. Sometimes the things people do or say just seem to make them come off as Divas.

Washington should be all over this for a trade. They have a good young roster, but no QB. Would be a NFC favorite with that move.

Alright. But what makes them divas? Being good? I have always respected P. Manning, Brady, Rodgers and Brees as quarterbacks but have harbored dislike at the same time.

Orlovsky pointed out 9 of their last 10 first rounders have been defensive players, I suppose to point out the mismanagement of Rodgers. Two things to that point. First round picks fail as much as they succeed (the Rams have done without them for McVay's (and Goff's) entire tenure) and Green Bay HAS ALWAYS needed defensive help. He doesn't mention the number of OL (5), WR (4), RB (4) or TE (3) they've taken in the first 4 rounds since they won the SB.......guys like Bulaga, Baktiari, Jenkins, Cobb, Adams, Lacy, Dillon, etc.

Creation of a diva?.....If they don't provide you with first round LTs, WRs and TEs, they are mismanaging your career. Some might say, if they don't try to improve the defense, they put undue strain on your having to score 35 points a game to win.

Rodgers wants to win, and plays for an organization that is so dysfunctional, that they dont build around him. In fact they basically troll him with the moves they ultimately do make. Its just like the Watson issue with Houston, you have the reason the franchise is successful, make commitments to said player that their input is valuable, and then turn around and do the opposite of what they want. Green Bay is absolutely nothing without Rodgers over the last decade.
Last 10 1st round picks, the only offensive player they drafted was Jordan Freakin Love
2 Defensive Ends
5 Defensive Backs
1 Defensive Tackle
1 Linebacker
1 QB

I think it’s the lack of realization that you pointed out. Good analysis. Football is difficult. It’s so difficult that the Patriots resorted to cheating to consistently win in a weak division. It’s difficult to correctly evaluate players, manage a cap, and keep a winning product on the field even if you have a top three QB.
Rodgers is like Wilson. He’s unrealistic. The Packers are trying to stay consistently good amongst the parity.

Wilson wants a better offensive line but like Pete says, Russel creates his own problems. Rodgers had a great offensive line, a very good runningback, good receivers with one very good receiver. He even got his current offensive minded head coach. Now he wants a long term commitment.

Some claim that he looks at the Bucs and thinks why can’t we do that? Tamp Bay is an anomole. That team fell into place because they haven’t been paying a top QB like Rodgers wants to be paid, and once they got that QB with so many pieces in place the QB and some other free agents agreed to cap friendly deals to keep it going.

Maybe the problem is Rodgers. He wants what Brady has but doesn’t want to accept less money to keep his team together. He doesn’t seem to inspire the team to do the same by whining about his contract.

I hope Stafford is watching this unfold. To win in a salary cap league consistently over a period of time it takes sacrifice by players financially too.

But he has a very good runningback, one of the best Olines in football, a league leading WR, two good TEs. He has support. He’s not doing it on his own.

Say what you will about Green Bay but they don't let the players dictate the plan.

I feel like I would have been tempted (and may still be tempted) to deal a 37 old QB who doesn't want to be there if I could get a kings ransom for him.

At this point, if Washington came calling - I would say that a 2022 first, pick 51 this year, and Chase Young gets it done. Then you roll with Love and hope you were right.

@dieterbrock @PARAM. I think it’s telling when you hear about how much everyone that has played with Stafford loves him. But then you don’t hear that about Rodgers.
Like who? Free agent WR's hoping to land a contract in LA??
Dude has been begging for a WR for years, @PARAM says 1st rounders bust any way. Maybe, or look at who they may have missed on
2020, they took Love, next WR taken, Tee Higgins 900 yards and 6 TD
2019, after they took 2 D players, next WR taken, Marquise Brown 15 TD in 2 years
2018, after they went Defense, next WR taken, DJ Moore 3,000 receiving yards in 3 years
2017- no 1st round pick
2016, after they went Defense, next WR taken, Sterling Sheppard 3,700 receiving yards 21 TD

They let Favre dick around for 3 years with his retire/no retire BS while Rodgers sat on the bench. So I'm not seeing that

His running back is seemingly new every year, currently a 5th rounder, they even had to play a WR at RB one year. His TE's are good? Retread after retread, they have a decent season with him and are gone the next year. Jared Cook, Jimmy graham etc. Remains to be seen how good his oline is with how quick he gets the ball out. Yes, Adams is great, but they cant come close to a #2 because he makes it work with the tomato cans he's stuck with. Heck, Rams fans think Woods & Kupp arent enough, the GB WR outside of Adams are Spag/Fisher worthy

You'll have to remind me, which of these teams traded up in the 1st round to draft a QB? And I also dont recall any of them being pissed and other than Garapolo and obviously Rodgers, who the other 2 even were (allegedly)

Well, that was like 15 years ago - completely different front office - but still, I'll play. Let him dick around? If you intended that pun - well played. But I didn't see them get controlled by him. They drafted their future when the getting was good and then played the QB who they thought gave them the best chance to win. Ultimately, they traded him on their terms to who they wanted to trade him to.

Maybe they got sick OC his bellyaching. You make it sound like putting a Super Bowl roster together is so easy.
