Other crazy stats...

3 away games in that span
3 games in a 12 day period in which two straight were away games spanning multiple time zone travel AND considered tough road game environments
Well over 30 different players on and off the COVID list throughout win streak

Coach may have done his best job yet this past month getting his team ready to play through all of that and winning. Personally think he should be in conversation for coach of the year even though he won't be.

It's 3 sacks for Von. I think he had a 1.5 sacks in the last two. He had 4.5 before joining the Rams and now has 7.5 for the year.

EDIT: 2 sacks against the Ravens and 1 in the previous.

Yet all I read about is the narrow scoring margin and turnovers. The media totally overlooks all that you pointed out.

I’ll add that some of those games were made tougher due to teams fighting to stay in the playoff picture.

a little more on line play:

def sacks: 17 (high 5 vs BAL)

off sacks allowed: 9 (low 0 vs MIN)

We've given up 82 points over the past 5 games for an average of 16.4 points per game. When you subtract Stafford's TD throws to the defenses it's even better.

Rams have basically been in playoff mode here for 5 weeks. Shutting people down. Mashing the ball and staying balanced. And making the plays they need to make in the passing game. We're not a favorite or anything but we are in this shit.

Not to dismiss the wins because any win in the NFL ain’t easy. But consider the following stroke of luck:

Jags - See Jags.
Seattle - No Lockett.
Minn - Theilen injured.
Balt - No Jackson.

Might be facing SF backup QB.

We got er done like good teams do but context is always important.

Look at all the players we had out during that span of games. Kinda evens things out a bit doesn't it?

The overall adversity the Rams faced in that stretch really evens that out, imo.

Do you remember the 90’s???

The only thing that worries me is has McVay ever had a ten game win streak? Because that's what it will take to run the table.

the only context that i can maybe gather from that is Baltimore not having jackson - the rest of that is a wash or meaningless.

Jax is horrible but they beat the Bills earlier this year and the dolphins were a playoff contender until Sunday.

So i dont see much context at all.

Agreed....at least. That was a brutal stretch of games considering the adversity. If you had told me they would go 5-0 under those circumstances, I wouldn't have believed it.
