Not to dismiss the wins because any win in the NFL ain’t easy. But consider the following stroke of luck:

Jags - See Jags.
Seattle - No Lockett.
Minn - Theilen injured.
Balt - No Jackson.

Might be facing SF backup QB.

We got er done like good teams do but context is always important.
O man, YOU'RE Right! We are fucking dominant!

Um No Woods, No Havenstein, No Whitworth, No Noteboom, No Ramsey, No Higbee, etc

I know not all games except for Woods but we had adversity too

Only the other teams injuries count. C'mon man. We sent out a memo about this.

Yup.

It's the kind of stretch that makes a team really start to believe in each other and what they can accomplish.
In the middle of November I suggested that the losing streak and bye week could force a turnaround in McVay's thinking and maybe become a turning point for the team. That was before the craziness of covid. It's clear now that all the adversity has led to a new level of determination from the entire team.

McVay finally turned to Sony Michel who powered us through November. Kupp and now OBJ have made all kinds of big plays. Stafford despite mistakes has come through when needed. Meanwhile the defense led by AD, Floyd, Gaines, Miller, and Ramsay seems to have hit its stride and is starting to play up to its very nasty potential.

Except for the turnovers-- a big concern, but which McVay and Stafford can and must pull together and limit-- Rams are starting to play like the team we thought they could be.

Which is a team no one will want to play. A serious championship contender and potentially the best in the NFL.

Bucs last year lost 3 of 4 to end November.. Including a 38-3 embarrassment at home on SNF. Sounds a bit familiar huh?
Then proceeded to win 8 straight for a SB.
How often has Arians & the Bucs done that until last year.

Yeah but these are the excuses of other team's crying fans when they lose. The fact that we won without several starters throughout the streak cancels their missing player x excuses every time. I'd just tell 'em... "that's 'cause your backups are scrubs." :ROFLMAO:

You guys bust me up with your sensitivity level.

The point was not we didn’t deserve the wins. Notice I said “a win in the NFL ain’t easy”. We deserved each one because we had adversity we were dealing with - no one said we didn’t, that is a complete straw man arguement. Something I never said.

In fact the Zona game was an incredible win without Ramsey on the road.

The point is despite our adversity other teams had significant MVP and pro bowl level players missing. Lockett vs our piss poor secondary, Theilen, Jackson in a game that we win by a point. Now probably Ram killer Jimmy G string.

This is some serious stroke of good luck for us that could offset the setbacks we have had. I am glad to get the 2 seed vs the 5 seed.

Does this mean we don’t deserve it? Uhhh no. No one said that.

Every team has setbacks, I’m just glad others did as well while we did.

Lighten up Nancies :laugh4:read what is actually said by a poster.

We can all sit around and circle jerk each other if you want. But reality is a real thing as well. I heard one poster say how great our defense played vs Baltimore. Really? We played a backup QB in his second start in the NFL and avoided Jackson who dropped a 50 burger on us last time. That is some luck I am glad to have for seeding and honestly it takes some luck sometimes. It won’t hurt to acknowledge reality. Try it sometime. It won’t hurt as much as you might think.

has nothing to do with being snowflakes

you are not the first person to try to qualify wins as good or bad this year

its just silly - especially this year. Anyone can beat anyone its happened all year.

How about the Cardinals getting throttled by the lions... the titans getting beat by the texans.?

We were decimated by Covid in 80% of this stretch where according to you we were "lucky"

The point is your insight isnt really insight.

I mean i follow your logic.. but ive also followed the nfl all year.

What did you mean by "We got er done like good teams do but context is always important." then? Did the context make the wins less... Anything?

And not to be a Nancy about it, just asking, if you weren't attempting to even marginally discredit our wins, what was the point? We had adversity and they had adversity. Cool, so the wins are just as meaningful as always. What would be the purpose other than an indirectly stated attempt to discredit the wins? Again, not to be an ass or a Nancy, but I can't think of another reason to say it than to discredit the wins or make sure no one gets too happy about our team winning.

It is really funny, some folks on this board sound like they are actually fans of other teams in here incognito. Always shitting on the team, or giving back handed compliments. I don't get it. I mean, qualifying all of our wins, but jumping all over players and coaches over every loss? It is just odd.

And before any of you 'Nancies' get riled up, I am not talking about anyone in this thread necessarily, just some posters on this board in general. The last year or two on this board has been really weird.
