You guys are lucky Mayfield has taken a step back this year.

Good game. Browns gonna brown. :poop:
You guys should be very happy with how your back up secondary played. Nothing to hang your head on. I dont want to see you guys again, thats for sure.

I wanted to make a post about Goff before the season started but I felt like nobody would see what I see. I went back and rewatched 4 or 5 games from last season. From my memory it was the lions, bears, saints (I think I watched 2 saints games but I know 1 was the nfc game), cowboys, and patriots. Goff did alot of staring down. He has his favorite receivers in certain situations. Like kupp on 3rd down. When kupp got hurt it was woods. Also when kupp went down Goff was a different QB. In many cases IMO Mcvay seems to tell him who to throw to becuase he forces alot of balls and never looks at anyone else sometimes. Idk, but he needs to get better in order for the offense to evolve.
But Im glad to be 3-0, I'm glad Goff isn't Sam Bradford, I do remember the last 10-12or so years.... I'm glad we have a team were even if the offense is off we can still win a game. I guess I'll shut up about Goff and Mcvay until we loose lol.

I think last year we got figured out. Now Sean is changing it up but we are not in synch yet.

Also, wish we had run more inside zone, seemed like we were getting 3-8 yards a clip with that...

The complaints shut down our inside runs, so we ran outside. The browns shut down out outside runs, so we kept trying that the whole time. Maddening.

I was one of the people who dared challenged the Olympian gods that Goff should be called "Elite"

But Bro some of this post... how do you know how hard Goff worked this offseason or what he is thinking?

Obviously I dont know for sure, but based on his play how much work do you think he did in the off-season? Didn't we hear between years 1-2 and years 2-3 he worked out with Tom House for weeks?? Didn't he do other stuff in the off season to improve his mechanics? Did anyone hear that this off-season? He has been far less accurate recently than I can ever remember.

Our SB run was long last year and to me it looks like Goff just rested and recovered with what was left of the off-season. To me this has resulted in no visible improvement. I mean he has actually regressed. My point regarding his mentality, as a young QB, face of the franchise in your first SB- To lose the way we did, and for him to play the way he did, and hear everything all off-season. Wouldn't he do everything in his power to improve and show all the doubters they're wrong? Wouldn't your competitive fire be burning hotter than ever before after that SB loss? So how do you come out of the gates so bad so far this year?

I get that the offense isn't at peak efficiency right now, but damn. We sleep walked to 30 and 27 against the Panthers and Saints. Offense couldn't get out of their own way tonight at times, but chill out.

This Goff speculation on his effort and mindset is a fruitless venture. All speculation and feelings. That said, I would go with the assumption that he isn't phoning it in, instead of the contrary.

Stay in the celebration thread, if it’s cozy over there. This is the vent thread.

I guess. Wish a vent thread for this team had a bit more substance to what they're venting about.

You mean how the offense played like crap, and the play calling was bad, and the Oline play was dreadful? Yeah, we have nothing to complain about at all. . . .

That’s not the intent of a vent thread though, It was my idea to create the vent thread on this site years ago. It’s a safe place to bitch about your team. Opinions differ greatly, some may be tickled pink with a win, and others may see a deeper problem with how the team is performing.

Just respect the thread, and others opinions. I’m not pissing on people in the celebration thread. Im happy for the win, but I, along with others, are concerned.

I have to say the excuse of teams getting up for us only goes so far. You think teams don't get up for the patriots or the Chiefs even. Look at Maholmes he elevates his recievers no name dudes it doesn't matter where as goff needs probowl recievers to elevate him.

So again I love goff but that concerns me he doesn't make players better he needs certain players to make him better where as a Maholmes or Brady Rogers manning etc took no names and made them better. That's my concern along with mcveys questionable lacke of adjusting to the league adjusting to him and also poor play calling as of late in general.

few observations

1. VERY loud and hostile territory tonight. Very much reminded me of the Saints game early last season. And it effected us the same tonight as it did last season in NOLA. Also unfamiliar territory.

2. Blythe and Higbee (best blocking TE) out obviously effected us. Bc of this Goff was pushed out of rhythm much of the night.

3. Goff had his downs but he had 0 run game and also the stuff i listed above.

4. McVay outsmarted himself. Its obvious that when a run game cannot get established he tends to go rogue.

5. Gurley is not ok. I dont know whether its physically or mentally, or both, but something is not right with him. He lacks the drive ive seen from him these last couple years.

Browns came out swinging and we came unprepared. I wanna be mad, but like some have said, i think we have become jaded. 2017 we were blowing teams out of the water. They had no idea how to prepare for us. Last season we were still winning, but not as many blowouts. Now in our third year, alot has happened since 2017. Look at what the Browns put together in a year? We are no longer the new kids on the block. We are rebuilding an oline, having issues with our RB and having to find ways to reinvent our style. All in all i think we have to admit the elephant in the room and realize we are not the team that will blow you out anymore. But we can play decent enough on our bad days to pull out a win. We just need to get back to our good days.

I think you're being a little hard on the rams. I think we have become spoiled because we are used to seeing the rams put up 30 week in week out. Now we've been brought down to earth. Whether its teams figuring out our offense, goff struggling, oline issues, or Gurley's knee. We are still winning and every player that had an interview after the game said we have a lot of stuff to clean up.

.

The end is nigh.

The rams are 3 and 0.

What are we to do?

Seriously, life is too short to read threads like these. And before you say it, I read the first few posts and that was enough for me.
