My only vent is that our gameday threads are toxic and full of whining and just not fun to even read anymore.

Goff's last 11 games:

11 TD / 11 interceptions / 11 Fumbles

11 Fumbles in his last 11 games with a 1-1 TD/INT ratio???? Are you kidding me?? I want to repeat this, over the last 11 games, he is averaging one passing TD, one interception, and one fumble a week. And we just made him the highest paid player ever.

McVay deserves his share of the blame because I think he could be doing a lot more, but what happened to Goff?? Every other young QB in the league is taking steps forward while ours is regressing? How does this happen? It looks like he put in ZERO work all off-season. It seems like after the Patriots kicked his ass he went and did nothing to make himself better. This brings me back to the argument I made last year regarding his "laid back" attitude. I personally think it borders indifference. He looks so aloof on the sidelines and even in the game sometimes, with such a lack of focus.

How do you get your ass kicked like we did in the SB. FLAT OUT EMBARRASSED, he hears all the talk about being McVay's puppet and a system QB, but you're not going to work your ass off all off-season to get better as a player? You don't want to go out there and prove everyone wrong? Isn't that how a true competitor, a true winner would respond? In the biggest game of your life you laid an egg and played like trash. You're just okay averaging a fumble a week? I don't fucking get it... How has Jared improved as a player in year 4? The answer is he has not at all improved.

I was one of the people who dared challenged the Olympian gods that Goff should be called "Elite"

But Bro some of this post... how do you know how hard Goff worked this offseason or what he is thinking?

I am furious that we keep winning but we're not winning every game by 3 TDs. Doesn't McVay know that style points matter?

We wouldn't have beat a good team by playing the way we did tonight. I know you did blue font, but they are still the Browns, and they still suck, no matter what kind of hype they get.

The turnovers for Goff were frustrating, but he still displayed great arm talent and footwork. I'm not overly worried. Offense is in a bit of a rut. Seems the screen game isn't working as well as it did in the past, the run game is struggling, and McVay got too cute with some playcalls and too stubborn with others.

The Rams got in their own way a lot tonight. Should have won by 10+. Adjust and move on.

Yeah I want Goff to succeed as much as the rest of us. I mean I REALLY want him to, but we're getting too forgiving of some of his shortcomings.
Agreed. Three games in Goff looks downright mediocre. Like a QB who needs a good pocket or a rollout to execute this offense.

I expect growth from him this season. Still waiting for it, and hopefully it's coming.

Why isn't Gurley catching more balls?

Because as much as some people want to bury dat head farther into the sand on this issue.

Gurley isn't 100%... and may never be again.

But he is still a threat and can make plays and has to be accounted for.

When the OL gets better the rest of the offense will get better. Rams O is only as good as the OL and right now its not that good. All those little thing the O did the last couple of yeas are harder now. Like running between the tackles, gurley going out for a screen .etc. The OL get better those will too.

I had no idea the stats were that bad. I never did like his lethargic attitude, and it is finally catching up to him. He made major strides going into year 2, mostly because of McVay, but since then, he hasn't improved much, and seems to be going backwards, as you pointed out.

Nor did I but you are what your numbers say you are. Honestly I used to think his attitude served him well with bouncing back from errors, but now I just don't know. Jared even said it himself on that recent podcast that "it kind of scares him a little, how much he doesn't care when he makes a mistake." I'm paraphrasing there but that was pretty much it. Like he even acknowledges the indifference and to me that is super weird. Should't the failure motivate and drive you to improve? How does that cause and effect happen when you don't care as much as you should?

Bullcrap. We got lucky, and barely beat a team, who isn’t very good. Fact. We are out of sync on offense. I told my buddy, before the game, maybe we need to lose to wake up. I don’t believe in my own theory. I don’t think this game will be a wake up call, either.

Hope we get better soon. Lucky to win tonight, we didn’t earn it, nor did we outplay them. We got the W, awesome, and now we’ve got the W, 3 times in a row, but I’m sure nobody on the team is happy, nobody.

If they are, we are really in trouble. Happy to win though.

Rythm. The offense, Goff, the O-line and McVay. Seems they can't get a good rythm going.

Holy shit. We're getting to the point where we are psychoanalyzing Goff and assuming he's Jay Cutler level of not giving a fuck. Jesus Christ.

A lot of you guys aren't taking into account that teams are going to play their asses against us because of all the Offense/McVay genius talk. we definitely have a bullseye on our backs.

This game is on McVay and he should thank the Defense for bailing him out so many times.

Goff can run. Mc Vay needs to incorporate that into the game as well.

When it was 3 and 2, no sense to have Goff throw a pick. Just have him roll out and run up the middle for a 1st down.

There were challenges that should have been challenged and challenges that McVay should have not called.

During the first half, Goff had the play clock wind down to the 1 second mark. The Browns Defense already knew the play coming. That’s exactly what the Patriots saw in the SB.

Why McVay not have Goff called the no huddle and just play basic pitch football to Kupp, Woods, Cooks and Gurley?

Ugly win nonetheless.
