I'm really starting to get nervous with Goff in late game situation. That last int was a horrific decision, I have no idea what he's looking at there. We also saw similar throws in the Carolina game late, but we lucked out their dbs dropped them.

This was the first time I told my wife in the 4th quarter that if they lose it is on Mcvay, I'm not sure what is going on with him but he better get it together.

Definitely hoping we have Blythe back next week. Higbeast too. They both make a big difference in the less obvious parts of this offense.

I am furious that we keep winning but we're not winning every game by 3 TDs. Doesn't McVay know that style points matter?

However.. we don't look that much different than we did the 2nd half of last year.. when we kind of slugged our way into the superbowl.

We are just all hoping we can get back to looking like the 8-0 team of the first half last year.

Seems to me he isn't looking over the field to find open receivers as much as he has in the past.

It's amazing how quickly a fanbase can become jaded. Just a mere three years ago, we were getting embarrassed opening night on MNF. Now, we open the season traveling to NC, back to LA, then to Cleveland, and found a way to win all three games.

Goff's last 11 games:

11 TD / 11 interceptions / 11 Fumbles

11 Fumbles in his last 11 games with a 1-1 TD/INT ratio???? Are you kidding me?? I want to repeat this, over the last 11 games, he is averaging one passing TD, one interception, and one fumble a week.

I had no idea the stats were that bad. I never did like his lethargic attitude, and it is finally catching up to him. He made major strides going into year 2, mostly because of McVay, but since then, he hasn't improved much, and seems to be going backwards, as you pointed out.

3 turnovers is a big hole to fill. Goff's fumbles are a concern but he had a decent passing game tonight. I am somewhat concerned with the lack of TE relevance but Kupp/Cooks/Woods more than make up for it. Greg Z and the running game needs to tighten up. ON the bright side a road win (even an ugly one) against a decent team like Cleveland is a positive.

I'mma gonna need some of Merlin's cut-ups to really get a truer sense of how Goff played (Merlin, yes please!) ... but he hasn't looked great since late last year.

Yeah, the defense won two of those games, and if Brees hadn't got hurt, we would have likely lost the other one.

Goff wanted to be able to go downfield but he had to move in the pocket all night.
He wasn't awful. He made some legit plays, when given some plays to work with he did enough lead a couple TD drives.
I would give him a B maybe B-

We missed Higbee bad. Kromer has his work cut out for him.

What's going on with our STs?

McVay might experience a real wake up call without having to lose first. A win is a win but the Rams almost shit the bed.

1. McVay needs to look at the team's challenge process and figure out where it's not working. It cost us 7 points tonight that's a big deal.

2. Kromer needs to swallow his ego and admit he's wrong about Demby. Fluff pieces by media are not going to make up for continued bad play and mistakes. Teams are going to see that film and continue to expose him, fix the bleeding now and put someone in there who is capable of improvement. Hopefully Blythe returns but either way I don't want to see any more Demby.

3. Teams are seeing some sort of tell with our screen game. It's either that or a down/distance tendency thing. Somehow it is being anticipated.

There were guys open, but he tries throwing into TIGHT coverage. He needs to figure out zone defense.

Yeah I want Goff to succeed as much as the rest of us. I mean I REALLY want him to, but we're getting too forgiving of some of his shortcomings.
