Hurt i can understand, but Watkins was looking like the receiver he was drafted to be when he first started with the Bills. Same qb that Woods had, and yet could never produce like Watkins when healthy.

I honestly think the payday hurts alot of players mentally. I think theres alot of players who get their big pay day and then that adds even more pressure for them to play to their pay grade. So far Gurley, Goff, McVay, and Higbee have all been extended and paid, and all are having slumps or injured. NOMORE PAY DAYS! Lol

Payday thing definitely true puts pressure especially on a young qb. I will say as far as woods I always kept an eye on him cause I wanted the Rams to draft him and if memory serves me Watkins was meh with the bills and also hurt often and ever time Watkins was out woods would step up but alway a qb carousel there in buffalo. Anyway I hope your right but I'd like to think we all know football on here and it's not even the pick that bother me the most which make no mistake they do irritate ,e but the wobblers and the not leading the recievers well at all that worries me. Let's just hope it's rust.

This Goff speculation on his effort and mindset is a fruitless venture. All speculation and feelings. That said, I would go with the assumption that he isn't phoning it in, instead of the contrary.
I agree with you about that. What I think most people are thinking is that they don't see any improvement in Goff when the Run game and the play-action pass are ineffective ; he is constantly forcing balls when receivers aren't open in man coverage, and throwing to receivers in zones where there is a high risk of an underneath defender picking the ball. Also he is inconsistent in moving his feet and avoiding pressure while looking downfield. It was all good in his first couple of seasons and on a lower salary, but now he's paid like one of the leagues best and he's not playing like it.

He's always been a guy who is better with a seam to get rolling, vs trying to wade through chaos and tacklers. He's basically a thoroughbred and has never really been a guy with lateral moves (he's smooth speed & power). But it does seem like he's limited, as if he doesn't want to try the lateral/juke type moves and probably because of his knee.

This is why Brown looks better on a lot of the run plays, because you have defenders springing through leaks in our OL like fuckin water through a dike.
I agree with you about Brown. He seems to be more aggressive and also assertive. Gurly, IMO, hasn't been the same since the 1st Qtr of the Championship game. Something in his head.... I don't think he was injured.

As far as Gurley and our Offense is concerned just look at our passing outta the backfield. It has seriously declined. in 2017 and first 2/3rds of 2018 Gurley catching out of the backfield was a HUGE part of our offense. Now, it's almost non existent. Is it Defense's catching up to us and us not mixing looks up? or is it TG?

Goff played all right--not as bad as some board members are claiming. Yes, he must improve for all the money he's getting. But I think Goff knows that. The coaching staff--especially the HC and Quarterbacks coach must keep working with him and not allow his confidence to be affected.

OUr defense was awesome tonight especially when it needed to be. Kudos to AD, Clay Mathews, Donte Fowler and our secondary. We are still vulnerable against the run but I did see some improvement tonight.

Go Rams--and I'll take the win --and let's get ready for TB who lost a heartbreaker this afternoon.

I have to say the excuse of teams getting up for us only goes so far. You think teams don't get up for the patriots or the Chiefs even. Look at Maholmes he elevates his recievers no name dudes it doesn't matter where as goff needs probowl recievers to elevate him.

So again I love goff but that concerns me he doesn't make players better he needs certain players to make him better where as a Maholmes or Brady Rogers manning etc took no names and made them better. That's my concern along with mcveys questionable lacke of adjusting to the league adjusting to him and also poor play calling as of late in general.
They do but the Pats aren't shooting themselves in the foot.

I saw gurley standing ooen all day MULTIPLE times for easy chunk yardage, yet Goff never looked his way and threw it down field. One thing I think we REALLY need to get back to as well is utilizing Gurley in the backfield.

That look Jesus. One thing we can rest assured of... However irritated we are with the offense McVay is moreso. His answer tonight in his press conference where he said "I can't keep standing up here saying it's my fault I have to fix it" paraphrasing of course, was very telling.

We wouldn't have beat a good team by playing the way we did tonight. I know you did blue font, but they are still the Browns, and they still suck, no matter what kind of hype they get.

Actually they don't suck. They have a lot of talent. They played well tonight. Remains to be seen what happens to them moving forward, but they are competitive and a potential threat to win any game they play.
