The Bengals are the media darlings this week. But IMO are they better than the Bucs? Brady is a better QB than Burrows, and he played behind a much better OL. IMO This will be another game much like that one in terms of defense. Also I don't think their defense is better than the Buc's either. The Bengals defense was ranked next to the Rams in the middle of the NFL. Which shows how badly Morris has played his personnel. If the Rams execute and play clean they should win this game.

This is a game setup for AD to dominate.

majrleaged,
Doggone it and this is what drives me nuts. It's up to Coach Mac to TELL his D.C. to stay aggressive and to keep playing with your hair on fire. Looks to me like many on this board give McVay a pass and direct their ire at Morris (who has richly deserved it at times this season) but rather conveniently forget Who works for Whom.
Coach Mac needs to get in Morris' grill if he starts dialing up the pansy- prevent- wins defense.
He cannot just sit back and fiddle around with his play sheet and whatnot. (umm....much like he did in our previous SB loss)
If he's the Head Coach then act like it.....

I am sure they talk about what they are going to do what ever it is when they do the game planning. So you are correct. Whatever he does, I am sure McVay knows about it. I think they have learned enough to be aggressive, but I still worry.

Some interesting context for this...

Burrow does better against man coverage than zone.
Burrow was sacked 9 times by Tennessee.. and kept coming at them and won.
Good info on the man to man, I didn't know that, but the only reason Burrow made a comeback is because Tannahill shit the bed with 4 interceptions. Burrow was tough enough to take advantage, but Tannehill made it possible.

Thus maybe the reason Aaron Rodgers is buying land in Nashville.

I am glad to see Hendy return and all but I hope he does not jump Michel on the depth chart. Rams need to be Akers/Michel in this game.

Michel is our best pass pro option. The guy is a tank. Akers is our best explosive option to take over the game. But if Akers can't get hot then you start feeding Michel IMO.

Stars are aligned for a Rams RB to be MVP. IMO. It's an afterthought right now with the Rams coming off two of the toughest run stopping fronts out there. Now granted the Bucs weren't too hot during parts of the season vs the run but Suh and that front was in playoff mode make no mistake. So that run game is going to factor in massively for us.

We can't have that Bengals defense dropping 8 like they did on passing downs vs the Chiefs (think it was like 35% of passing downs iirc). Rams have to beat these fuckers on the ground and IMO they are ready and capable of doing so.

Unless McVay forgets who got him here and decides to feature Hendy.

The only thing more predictable than sports media is a Gilligan's Island episode.
