Met my wife in HS.

Totally crushed on her in 10th grade. She didn't know my name. Spent the entire summer after 10th grade crushing on her HARD listening to Janet Jackson's "Let's wait awhile"...

Became aware of one another in 11th grade because we were in choir together. Crush waned a bit.

She met my sister in 12th grade and was friends with my sister and mom. We became friends. I wouldn't ask her out because she was "too much". Kinda hyper. Not really sure how to put it. I was very chill and she was very...loud. Freaked me out.

I'll never forget it. I was sitting in my living room in Arcadia, CA (I'd moved in with my step-dad after HS in Santa Monica) and was bored out of my damned mind. I literally called everyone in my day planner (remember those?). She was the ONLY person to call me back. Not even my closest homies called me back until like a week later.

So I asked her out. On our first date, she tells me, "we're gonna get married, we're gonna have kids, the first one's gonna be a boy and he's gonna be named Derek" I'm not sure I want a second date and she had our whole lives planned.

Well, that second date was a date for the ages and well...she was right.

I knew right away that she was the one for me. I asked her to marry me when I was still 18...on her 19th birthday. I think I spent $40 on her engagement ring...her birth stone in a very plain white gold setting.

And, btw, she must be psychic because we did get married, we've had 5 kids, our first was a boy and we named him Derek.

We've been together 31 years and married 28 (I insisted on being 21 when we got married because I didn't want any of the kids saying, "well, YOU GUYS weren't 21...). We've only been with each other and we're still crazy in love.

I'm super lucky because we still give each other "the utz"... that feeling in the pit of the stomach...like on a first date or before that first time with someone special. Still. It's pretty amazing.

Hope everyone can have what we have. Make the leap as soon as you know. It's worth it.

You, sir, have single-handedly made my day with this epic story. As a 27 year old who stays away from social media and who is an "old soul," I can't help, but wish the same sorta love one day too. No I'm not ugly or out of shape or lazy, but I believe today's generation is too fixated on instant gratification and less so on patience n perseverance. Great story I hope to share these same feels one day too! Thank you

And...wonder boy managed to sustain a significant injury for his 3rd consecutive year

Hate to say it Amigo, but injuries in 3 consecutive seasons (6 weeks missed, 4 weeks missed then throw in the major ACL) well, there appears to be a cause for concern

We dodged a BIGTIME bullet not drafting “potato chip Wentz”

Oh, and did I mention he only HAS 3 years AS a starting QB (College and Pro combined)

Just the facts my man

Just the facts

Ps;

Ganging up on Champ is way better than jokes? We get 15 bonus pages cuz of this boys!
I believe this is the second time wentz won a championship....on the bench. Yet jared is the "trailer"

Injuries are a concern....but the NFL has a 100% injury rate.....personally, I'd take the risk, with the production he brings....some wouldn't. I get that....Lets see how you feel in a few years.

Well, I live in Minnesota and watch the Vikings every day because that is THE noon game on Sundays. I have watched every game Teddy “Two Gloves” Bridgewater has played. At this point, you are trolling your own friends on this forum.
His last starting season....he went 11-5.....

I watched Sammy for you guys too....he looked damn good out there....

I watched Keenum.....same....

But Teddy doesn't do it for you.....ok....several here would say the same about Sam and Case....Hell, some are gonna tell you Cousins aint shit....

You gonna believe them....or your lying eyes? LOL

I never liked the term, troll.....illicit a response for....negative attention?? I worked in a facility....no not lived in a facility Oleschool, WORKED in a facility....where one of our....behavior mod codes was for negative attention seeking....I guess yall wanna dock me some weekend time for stating my opine on the NY QB....

And yeah, this is still about Suh.....

Total TD's.....2 years...because I said their stats over 2 years is very similar.....Teddy 28...Jared 33

Total INT's.....Teddy 22 Jared 14

Avg. Completion %%% Teddy 64% Jared 59%

Total yards Teddy 6150 Jared 4893

Avg. Yards per attempt Teddy 7.2 Jared 7.2 (IMO a key stat)

Won/Loss records Teddy 22-11 Jared 11-11

Avg. Yards game Teddy 205 Jared 222....or something along those lines....

Hmmmm.....yep, That's Dan Marino compared to Johnny Football right there....

Two similar players.....similar stats....decent.....Jared does seem to throw more effectively deeper....but I put the yardage on the new-ness of McVay's offensive scheme....Lets check the numbers AFTER a season of adjustment by the defenses....

20 years old....25 years old...they're all in the pros....this isn't 26 and under tackle football.
No. They’re nothing alike. Literally not even close. They don’t play the same. They don’t have the same arm strength, accuracy, awareness. They’re not the same height or weight. Scheme doesn’t matter. Players matter. Teddy wouldn’t have succeeded in McVays offense. He doesn’t have the footwork, timing, zip or deep ball accuracy.

LET ME SAY THIS FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK. TEDDY BRIDGEWATER AND JARED GOFF HAVE ZERO IN COMMON WHEN IT COMES TO BEING AN NFL QUARTERBACK.

You’re a cherry picker. Brian Quick and Greg Robinson are all stars. But were failed by coaches. Yet, Jared Goff was all on his own.

You're stepping over the line a bit here. Goff's 2017 season blows away anything Teddy has done. I still think if Teddy fully recovers from his knee injury that he'll be a good QB.(think Alex Smith) I agree that Goff is a much better fit for this offense because Teddy's struggles with the deep ball would limit McVay in ways he doesn't like to be limited. That all said, Teddy has excellent footwork and timing. He's perfect for an offense that focuses on the short and intermediate passing game.

Just ignore Champ here. It's not worth the time.

But the stats say different....

In fact....I have a thing about arm strength....you should know that....I believe both lack the required arm strength to succeed in the playoffs....on the road outside in the cold...vs TOP defenses, esp. secondaries that can play man to man across the board....think Case in Philly a couple months ago....think Brees now....think Peyton his last year. Indoors, these guys are still deadly...Outside...in the elements...against TOP defenses.....same plays that did work, won't.

So...IMO...they are almost the same....only difference

Goff can take a lick....I'll give him that.
You’re a cherry picker. Brian Quick and Greg Robinson are all stars. But were failed by coaches. Yet, Jared Goff was all on his own.
Cherry picker? WTF is that? Low hanging fruit??? Stating the obvious??? If so....thanks..I guess.
Decent players.....same as Goff....

Better physical talents.....

Why do I say this? I'd say Goff with inferior coaching performed WORSE than Quick & G-Rob with the same type of inferior coaching.....

Which....IMO....had they had better coaching they too would have performed better.

But overall....3 decent players....no big loss with G-Rob and Quick....only.....those were some quality draft picks that were squandered.....

I agree I may have gotten a little heated. And yes, Teddy is an NFL quarterback. So of course he has good footwork. But Jared is elite in those categories. Peyton Manning-like. I believe you were the first one to bring that to our attention. TB probably would have done just as well as Keenum did last year. Hell, Sammy looked like a top 5 QB the first game before getting hurt. So that Viking offense was very good with really any QB.

What’s funny is I have the guy on ignore. But I couldn’t handle the Bridgewater/Goff comparison.
