I think Mcvay and Stafford are both trying too hard. Forcing things when they aren't there.

How far Mcvay has fallen.

When goff couldn't pick up the slack in McVay's offense and make unscheduled plays when nothing was there Mcvay shipped him out and bought in Stafford.

Worked well in 21 but ever since then even Stafford can't kick start this stale offense.

Stafford wouldn't have been injured if it was a better throw from Tutu.

I sure wish Creed Humphrey would have thrown that ball!!

That McVay has fallen....he has not fallen.

He is 38 years old and has been to 2 SB's and won 1 for Christ sake.....do we really need to rehash this?

Sorry man but his offense is not good. You're thinking about him as a hc while I was talking about his offense.

Sean is not this dumb..so there must be another explanation...if you figure out what it is...let us all know....putting his aging QB into ridiculous danger when his running back is averaging 4.9 yards per carry, but only has 9 carry's. Why Henderson got more attempts while averaging 2.7 yards per carry is elementary coaching...why use the more ineffective back? Catching ability vs Freeman? Then why more rushing attempts? Sean is hard on QB's and RB's in the inconsistent ways he uses them....it has to be frustrating for the players. Let's not open the can of worms that is Wolford not wanting to come back.
Did we really want to see Wolfman and his 1 TD in 4 years anywhere near the field for the Rams.

yeah, it's a definite oversimplification.

Stafford can audible to whatever he wants - what the original play call is we don't know.

People been watching football this long and think McVay calls one play and Stafford runs it.

That's not how it works.
Then both Stafford and McVay are being suckered to run the wrong plays.....you can call me oversimplistic...but someone is making these calls and they look idiotic too much of the time. If you are taking what the defense is giving you and you are being shut out, maybe we should take a step back and think a little. It's possible Sean's offense takes a higher degree of execution than Shanny's, where the 9er's are running and throwing slants and screens, while we are trying to get big hitters on slower developing plays that make's everyone have to hold their blocks longer and keeps o-linemen from hitting second level blocks for fear of getting caught as an ineligible receiver downfield. We look like a jekyl and hyde team every game where we llok great in one half and crappy in the next....if Staff is making changes at the LOS...then something is weird...either he isn't seeing the field well, or defenses are confusing him too often.

No we don't...but that wasn't my point...did you really want Dresser back?

Its a tough call for Stafford and McVay. If they have any chance at thinking playoffs this is a game they have to win. Going 3-6 into the bye almost guarantees missing the playoffs. But if Stafford injures his thumb even more to the point of missing several games, That likely guarantees missing the playoffs.

Then there is also the possibility of missing the playoffs even if they win this game. Because to be honest, I'm not sure they have a roster good enough to win 9 or more games.

Its also possible 8 wins gets in. When you get past the 4 division winners, and the two wild card front runners, I don't see anyone better than 8 wins.

Right now, when we're fully healthy, we're as good as the ten teams left after the top 6. I can't say we're better. But we're not worse either. With a healthy Stafford we likely have the best quarterback of the ten teams that don't have a winning record. But we might have the worst defense.

Stafford just needs to rub that thumb down with 3000mg CBD cream before the game and at halftime. Tough guy will be fine.

i agree the offense has not been good the last two years.\

however - last year the entire team was 3rd string so you cant judge last year.

This year we have a bit more going but we also have a somewhat fraudulent o-line.
