Who is saying Stafford doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame?
You’re trying really hard to start an argument here, just can’t figure out for what?
Pretty sure we all agree Stafford is a HOF’er whether he wins another Lombardi or MVP
What's that called when somebody puts out a statement nobody said and then argues against it to death?

What I'm stating is he will never get an MVP no matter what he does, and if he doesn't win another SB, his chances of getting into the HOF are slim.

IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think (IMO) Stafford is a lock for the HOF already

for someone who claims to be a Rams fan, you sure do have some outrageous takes

He's admitted he's a multi-teamer. Apparently a Bronco fan originally from Colorado. You know how some people react adversely when they go to a place of high altitude? It's possible coming from high altitude to sea level has some unknown affect. Whatever it is, there are some strange takes. :dizzy:

Well, he was the 1st QB to throw for 4,000 yards, so there's that
I thought he was the coolest thing when I was a kid, him finishing his career as a Ram is allegedly why I became a Rams fan
I just dont see a comparison with Warner, other than they both played QB.....

Agree ... I wasn't even thinking about Kurt Warner when I wrote that post. Didn't mention him.
Was responding to a 503-post about Namath. Very different players; and insanely different NFL Eras.

Just of the opinion that Namath had a lot to do with the NFL becoming America's game.

There were teams (Lombardi's Packers, Shula's Dolphins and the '70s Steelers), the AFL of the 1960s, the Merger, the first Super Bowls, tremendous Rule Changes that impacted How the Game was Played and the evolution of sports media coverage ... ALL had an impact on how the NFL exploded over two decades.

There were a lot of star players that also contributed ... But ... there's no one, I would put ahead of Namath.
Better Players? ... You Bet ... quite a few.
Better Quarterbacks? ... ABSOLUTELY
Bigger Stars of the Game? ... I don't think so.

Funny thing about Namath was that when he was at Alabama, he was a true duel threat QB who ran the option. Dude was an incredible athlete until his knees got destroyed
Crazy how different things were back then too, his avg yds per completion was 15 yds, nowadays 10-11 ypc is the norm

That's not what the "Hall of FAME" means.... Because I was a famous NFL player I should get in????? That's ridiculous... then TeBow should get on the ballot every year.

The Hall of Fame should mostly account for stats and Championships.... Just because they didn't make a movie about Stafford or wearing nylons and posing like a hooker with a hairy chest, doesn't mean Stafford isn't as deserving as those other two guys.

Stafford would have been great in any era, and if he had been on the Rams in the 70's we would have five SB's in the bank already.... As of now Stafford is the greatest Rams QB in history.
Okay so what stats....or lack there of.....should prevent Namath from being in the HOF? Come on, show me you vast football knowledge!

I didn't state that Namath shouldn't be in the HOF..... I used him as a comparison why Stafford should be.
Okay, fair enough. So elaborate on that then. Come on, show me, rather than just making a statement. And btw, you also mentioned Warner in the same "comparison". What about him makes Stafford a shoe in? And....know this.....I believe Stafford is a first ballot no doubt about it HOFer.

What's there to elaborate on???? Just a general comparison. You can agree or not.

I'm not going spend time turning a general comparison to some absurd statistical comparison between the three aforementioned NFL players in hopes of satisfying your rumination disorder.

Go Stafford!!!!

I didn't think so. Thank you for not disappointing me. FWIW, absurd was the word that was on my mind too.

color me confused, because in a previous post you said Stafford needed to win another SB or his chances of getting in the HOF are "slim"

Not because of me..... But what the writers will need to see of Stafford IMO.

Stafford will always be paying for the sins of Detroit. An additional SB victory will make him sin free in the eyes of the Lord

I think his time in The Motor City built the pedestal his bust will stand on in Canton

When a person talks so much and comes at things from so many different angles, depending on how they want to fit themselves into the conversation, it's impossible for them to remember what they've said. The word that keeps coming to mind is disingenuous.
