Bump.

Checked the schedule for Drake Maye and the Pats, and it's freaking unbelievable how soft their schedule has been.

Pats have played LV, ATL, CLE, NO, NYJ, TENN, NYG.
ALL the shittiest teams. And CIN and MIA too.

So far, Pats strength of schedule is the seventh-easiest EVER in the Super Bowl Era.

No freaking way that Maye should be essentially tied with Stafford for odds to win the MVP.
Their SOS is by far the easiest in the league. Last week it was something like 0.343. Now it's 0.349. Strength of victory is 0.350.

The only team close in SOS is the Broncos at 0.373. Every other team, especially most contenders are well north of 0.400. The Bears and Chargers are the only other ones in the low 0.400's.

I don’t want to oversimplify it but I think Stafford’s entire MVP candidacy will be decided in the 5 day span between the Lions and Seahawks games. He plays well and we go 2-0, I think he’ll be the runaway favorite.

Stafford deserves it. But yeah, the Rams run the table, and I don't see how, other than biases, that he isn't MVP this season. I can't even believe that some pundits question whether he's a shoe in for HOF. Imagine if Stafford had been with McVay for the entire time McVay was with the Rams?

I don't believe in jinxing anything, but I honestly believe that the Rams will win more super bowls with McSnead, and with Stafford, provided he's healthy. I just hope Stafford is still hungry for a few more years at least.

I second this.

There’s no real case against him if he plays well against the Lions and Hawks and the team comes out victorious in both games.

If Stafford remains healthy and we keep a solid OL in front of him he will be effective through the 2027 season.

As for the MVP..... never gonna happen.... even if he wins two more Super Bowls.

Some folks can't help but troll about Stafford. Agree that if Stafford leads us to wins over the Lions and Seekcocks, he's the MVP.

Dude, you’ve got a picture of Kurt Warner and Dick Vermeil celebrating the SB 34 win. The Rams strength of schedule in 1999 was a pathetic .363, one of the six teams that had an easier schedule than the 2025 Patriots.

We all love the Rams and love the GSOT but bashing another team’s QB’s MVP chance’s based on SOS isn’t exactly anything any Rams fan has the right to do.

That said, Stafford is winning MVP.

The writers will find someone in the AFC to give it to:..... even if Stafford wins out:

Reasons:

Stafford has a good defense
Stafford has a good running game
Stafford has the two best WR's in the NFL
Stafford has a new field goal kicker that makes 100% of his attempts.
Stafford has a new long snapper on ST.
Stafford has three TE's at his disposal.
Stafford has TuTu as a decoy on IR.

I'll think of more dumb reasons for the writers, if they haven't already.

Save the MVP talk for January. Staff's gotta stay hungry for like 6 more weeks guys lol.
But you can see his intensity. He got regalled w/ "MVP!" chants in the locker room, but he was all business.
What's more... he looks like he could easily play 3 more years, if he wants to. Sharp, hitting targets in stride, still looking off DB's, dropping dimes... he's still everything you want in an elite pocket passer QB.

Yes, there should be a HUGE gap between Stafford and Maye in MVP talks. For whatever reason, the media is pushing HARD on the Maye MVP talk. Its honestly not close, and this without my bias. AFC is weak this year and the Pats schedule is every weaker. We run a gauntlet every freaking week.

I fucking hate all this MVP talk. Feels like it's only going to serve to distract Stafford from what's important, which is that second title.

And yes I of course realize that this would be a big deal for Stafford to win the MVP. But from my easy chair Stafford being pissed off because he was robbed by the MVP voting would be good for his playoff form.

Rams just seem to have problems dealing with positive press. Feels like they are best served as underdogs and that includes 9.

This x100. You could tell in the locker-room yesterday when they were trying to chant MVP that he really isn’t comfortable with it. He’s about getting another ring.
I would really dig it if he can get another ring or two, so that many of the writers can eat a shit burger all they way to Stafford making it to the HOF.......

Even myself (a shit burger with extra shit) as I was a Stafford doubter.

I dont think Stafford gives 1 gram of fuck about the MVP race
Hope that is true but an MVP would be a positive factor in his HoF candidacy if he doesn't get another title. So I figure he probably does care.

That said he has likely done enough for the hall. But the more he can strengthen his case the better.

I think Stafford cares about being MVP. Because I know he wants to make the HOF. I maintain that one more accolade, either a SB ring or MVP award gets him in 1st ballot. Winning games gets him closer to both.

I look at it as the opposite. Stafford should be motivated to stamp this season with a MVP and ring to further solidify his legacy on the game. Besides, he already got knocked down against the Panthers with the MVP talk. I don't think #9 is going to have a problem getting fired up for the playoffs, MVP or not.
