It’s a neck to neck race in my opinion.

I’m obviously pulling for Stafford but the voters will look at Staffords supporting cast which includes two HOF first Ballot WR. Maybe the greatest offensive mind of our time and a lower completion non running QB compared to Maye. Maye has Zero WR targets with any pedigree.

It will come down to the last tough opponents: Stafford vs Lions and Seahawks and Maye vs Bills and Ravens.

Wouldn't they also consider the competition? If Stafford and the boys were playing the Patriots schedule they would be setting single season records across the board imo.

He should put up big numbers at least 3 out of the last 4 games.

Rams probably need to win the division as well.

Before this season I wasn't sure he was a HOF player but if this Rams team wins a title I think he is deserving.

If Kurt Warner and Joe Namath can get in, there should be no question Stafford should.

If you look at pantyhose Joe’s stats… should he really be in the conversation?

Personally, I think Joe Namath should be in the Hall of Fame ... despite a career-losing-record and unimpressive stats after the first five years of his career.

I think Namath had a HUGE positive impact on the game we all love today. He was a Must Watch Player ...
No One ... not even Marino ... threw a more beautiful ball. Despite having bad knees before entering the NFL, Namath missed just one game over his first five seasons ... more injuries after that point, and he was Shot.

Namath was not just Big Time ... he was the First Big Time NFL Super-star. Just one old man's opinion.

I don't think Drake Maye is deserving, but then again, the Rams "didn't really play anyone" in 1999. BUT and it's a big butt. Warner won the super bowl with the Rams.

Well, he was the 1st QB to throw for 4,000 yards, so there's that
I thought he was the coolest thing when I was a kid, him finishing his career as a Ram is allegedly why I became a Rams fan
I just dont see a comparison with Warner, other than they both played QB.....

Wait, what? How is Warner in Joe Namath conversation?
just as a reference point.

IMO Stafford is better than both those guys.....

The only issue with Stafford is he now plays on the west coast, and the east coast nerdballs do everything they can to keep west coast players out of the HOF as long as possible IMO.

Just need Stafford to win one more SB in the next three season and he should be a shoe-in for the HOF.

As for MVP..... never gonna happen..... but who cares.

And he played in a different era. That 4,000 yards (4007) occurred in 1967 and stood for a dozen years before Dan Fouts broke it with 4082 in 1979. Another Namath record Fouts broke was most 300 yard games in a season. Namath had 6 in 1967, Fouts tied it in 1979 and broke it in 1980 with 8. He held the record for most consecutive pass completions (15, along with Len Dawson) for 7 years before Ken Anderson broke it in 1974 with 16. When Namath tied the record for most consecutive seasons leading the league in passing yards (2) in 1966-67, it wasn't broken until 1979-80 by Fouts. Namath shared the record for most 400 yard passing games in a season (2 in 1972) with Blanda and Jurgensen, later tied by Fouts in 1982 and finally broken by Marino in 1984.

Namath was one of the greatest QBs of his era and then some. The era in which he played, you had to practically assault a QB to get a roughing penalty. There was no sliding when a guy ran. And defenders were taught to completely level the QB blocking for a interception return in an era when there were more interceptions thrown than TDs. You can measure Namath by his stats but the HOF is the Hall of FAME, not the Hall of Stats. And that guy had it in spades.

That's not what the "Hall of FAME" means.... Because I was a famous NFL player I should get in????? That's ridiculous... then TeBow should get on the ballot every year.

The Hall of Fame should mostly account for stats and Championships.... Just because they didn't make a movie about Stafford or wearing nylons and posing like a hooker with a hairy chest, doesn't mean Stafford isn't as deserving as those other two guys.

Stafford would have been great in any era, and if he had been on the Rams in the 70's we would have five SB's in the bank already.... As of now Stafford is the greatest Rams QB in history.

Recommend throwing in “In My Opinion” every once in a while. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but not every opinion is fact.

Thanks for the recommendation, but most posts I see here as opinions, so the assumption would be why wouldn't my post be viewed the same way.

Now if someone posts up a stat sheet, or a direct quote from a player or coach and expanded upon in context to the quote it I'll view it as fact.

Who is saying Stafford doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame?
You’re trying really hard to start an argument here, just can’t figure out for what?
Pretty sure we all agree Stafford is a HOF’er whether he wins another Lombardi or MVP

What I'm stating is he will never get an MVP no matter what he does, and if he doesn't win another SB, his chances of getting into the HOF are slim.

IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
