The CN Tower in Toronto has a glass floor 1100 feet up and it took me a moment to step out onto it and holy crap my heart rate elevated right away. It was really a weird feeling.

Now they have a thing called Edge Walk.

freak that........NO WAY

We did the glass floor, it is really cool.

Really? You were nuts when I met you. Must have been later. :hiding:

I was nuts before I went up in that tower and walked over the glass. Years and years before.

I'm telling you..........they retracted. It's about a 20 foot walk and it's easy.........unless you look down.

After we did it we left and went across the street for a drink I had to slouch to give them room.

I may have invented manspreading.

And nothing will come between my testicles and I again.

So, anyone reading this and over 50, eat right, exercise, quit smoking and drinking, monitor cholesterol levels/prostate and colon for irregularities because this team is going to be something wonderful to wake up to for a long long time. You have my blessing to eat one of those amazingly delicious "street dogs" sold by the portable street vendors on the way into the Coliseum with the grilled onions and wrapped bacon, but only per game.

t last check, the cost of the new L.A. stadium and the entire surrounding business and residential area was expected to exceed $5 billion. The centerpiece of the project is now expected to have a price tag at more than 80 percent of the prior estimate for the whole place.

According to Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal, the cost of the stadium itself has moved north of $4 billion. Rams owner Stan Kroenke and his wife, Ann Walton Kroenke, will contribute $1.6 billion of their own money.

If that article is right and the stadium costs alone are 4BIL Kroenke's kids will be dead when they finally recoup their money.

If the stadium profits one million dollars per week in 20 years it will have earned 1,040,000,000 or a little over 25% of the overall investment.

I don't know how long it'll "last" I am assuming this will be a stadium that will be remodeled to maintain a long life, say 50 years possibly more.

This is a bit of a risk for Kroenke to say the least. Now the cost is double what the original estimate was, and there is still time for the cost to rise.

That's going to be some high rent office space and condos.

New video uploaded this week.

I'm seeing the stadium coming together as real stadium. You can see the field level has been dug out and I hear faint sounds of.......................................... Touchdown Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But isn’t it also a life-time memorial to him? Something transcends money alone? For a short slice of time, it will be the finest stadium ever constructed, and that’s probably a motivator for him as much as anything...

I don’t think Kaplan has all the info. He has been WAY off before when it came to numbers being thrown around before the move.

I’m not saying the price hasn’t gone up. I’m just saying he may be doing a little connect the dots for sensationalism.

I’m going to guess that being that this project is completely different than most and has several pieces, many of the costs of things like infrastructure are shared. It appears they are assigning all infrastructure to the stadium. That makes no sense as condos, hotels, etc would require a huge part of that infrastructure.

I’m also going to guess that having one unnamed source when there are dozens of financing companies involved is the definition of incomplete data.

I’m not sure why they would include the 6,000 seat venue and NFL HQ in with stadium costs. I don’t remember that being the case originally. I thought those were part of the overall project costs.

Either way, I’m just going to guess that the finance interests and Kroenke know the real numbers and have determined their baseline ROI.

Anyway, it doesn’t matter and these are all just guesses on my part. The stadium WILL be built, it WILL be amazing, and my money is on Kroenke that it will be highly profitable.
