I remember being in high school when this song became popular amongst a lot of my friends. I despised it. To this day, if it comes on the radio, I get mildly pissed and change the station.

If you disagree with me I get it. We're all a little different. But I can't stand songs that are heavily marketed by a record label to a radio station where it's a really poor song choice by a great band. So here's a few that fall into this category:

Bob Seger: Old time rock n roll. Nothing great about this song. Please keep your poor man's Chuck Berry sounding song record on that shelf. This sounds nothing like Turn the Page & Against the Wind.

Chicago - Saturday in the Park. Again a whole lack of effort that is as lifeless as trying to stay awake watching Sunday morning baseball. 25 or 6 to 4 is a masterpiece.

Metallica - Fuel. Marketed due to the catchy hook with the words fuel, fire, that which I desire. Honestly way too commercial and perfect for radio play. Too many great songs like Four Horsemen, One, Master of Puppets that are more listener worthy.
Just saw them on Monday and they played Fuel.....good pyro song live.
Haha.

What's wrong with you ???

This could be a sign of a serious problem. :ROFLMAO:

All Police songs are sacred! Especially that one!
I'm not a Police fan either, though they certainly dont bother me.
Not great. Not bad.

You mean when he screeches "you don't have to turn on the red light" FIVE THOUSAND TIMES IN A ROW, it bothers you?

Well, he had to come up with something to fill in the last 1 1/2 minutes of a 2 minute song.

Tainted love / Soft cell.

True story.

During a TV timeout at a Rams game in STL the music guy played that song. He should have been fired on the spot.

I couldn't believe I was hearing that at a football game.

25 or 6 to 4 is a masterpiece.

And an underrated guitar solo.........

Kind of like the NFL, right? I can understand pop divas whining but not heavy metal dudes with swastika and skull tattoos. Reminds me of rock guitarist Billy Squier who by his own admission torpedoed his career with this one video.

I didn't like his music and now I need to pour bleach in my eyes.

But Murphy's version is classic.

Okay where do I start

Anything by Justin Bieber (this guy has absolutely no singing talent whatsoever - I happened to have the Grammys on in the background while on the computer and went what the hell is this noise - it was Justin) And forgive me if this is wrong but I really wanted the Rock to punch his face in when the Rock went after Justin one night

"Rumor has it" just makes me want to scream

Anything by the Fray - seriously how does anyone who mumbles the words and has an annoying ass voice make it as a pop star - REALLLY??????

"Silly little love song" is so fricken annoying

All by myself - gah it's in my head now

There are others that I just can't remember at the moment.

Air Supply is hideous to me. Annoying music and in the 80's when they were hitting it big they were played everywhere.

My gosh they were terribly sappy.

Do you know the story behind that song?
No - and I would rather not know it so I can continue hating it. I don't care if there is a good story behind that song - it is so fricken annoying to hear on the radio.

HAHA now I simply HAVE to tell you.

It was written by Paul McCartney after John Lennon said all Paul did was write silly love songs.

They had a falling out at the end of the Beatles run because McCartney wanted to keep writing pop songs, which he did with Wings, and Lennon wanted to be more serious and thoughtful about songwriting, which he did too.

Too bad they didn't stay together.

This is McCartney posthumously inducting Lennon into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and recounting their days together, and how they reconnected near the end of Lennon's life.

"This letter comes with love from your friend Paul".

You can trhank me later lol.
