I wouldn't expect to see the rookies much at all this year, and that's a very good thing. Most of them are potential replacements because this team likes to think ahead. So we might not see much of Ernest Jones or Bobby Brown this year. Might only see Rochell when someone else is out too.Notes:
- Mundt TE2
- Quiet night for rookies
- Jefferson WR3
- Scott in over Burgess
- Robinson not fully healthy?
- Young "the guy" at ILB
- 3CBs 95% of the time
Too often for my liking because that's why they gave up so many rushing yards. Again, you need more in the box against a running team like the Bears.Notes:

Atwell will be the needed speed receiver if DeSean Jackson gets injured.Atwell is going to be a wasted pick. A team with as few prime picks as the Rams cannot afford that. Nothing against the person or player. He seems like a great kid, definitely has valuable skills, and I am sure he will contribute on some nights. But our WR group was already stacked, and had the horses to take deep shots with - even if we had no elite deep threat - if the o-line could hold up, the QB could hit them, and the coaching staff could scheme it up. Last night seemed to prove that. If we absolutely insisted on a WR, the one thing we arguably lacked at WR was a big body... Atwell is pint sized. I don't buy the "he's a future replacement" narrative. The Rams are trying to win NOW and need instant contributors in round 2. I think we whiffed...
Kenny Young looked great! Hope he keeps it up.
Really looking forward to seeing how the run game shakes out once Sony Michel is integrated.
I think they are saving Jackson for later in the season.Atwell will be the needed speed receiver if DeSean Jackson gets injured.
Having the deep threat will always open up things underneath for our possession receivers.
That's said, I'm surprised that DeSean Jackson only played 26% of the snaps.
That would make sense.I think they are saving Jackson for later in the season.

It appears to me that it's Van Jefferson who has the speed & talent to take the snaps that would go to DeSean Jackson. TuTu Atwell is a distant afterthought @ this time. That draft selection is just wasting space on the bench IMO.Atwell will be the needed speed receiver if DeSean Jackson gets injured.

You could see by the alignment we were in that they weren't too concerned about the Bears running attack once we were ahead as they were letting the bears run the clock down with their own running game.It appears to me that it's Van Jefferson who has the speed & talent to take the snaps that would go to DeSean Jackson. I would put Atwell as inactive & Activate up DB JR Reed so he can put some hurting on those RB's running through our DL! Make better use out of the MR53.
Believe me, I am in no way a fan of the Atwell pick.
However I do understand, as did the Rams front office, that we needed to add speed to our wide receiver corps.
We'll see how it all plays out with Desean's health and durability and if he fades during the season.
