Negative. Although I was as a lad, in the early 80s...Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, Fernando Valenzuela, Sax, Gibson, etc era. Those were fun teams.

However..........Go O's!!!
I’m a huge O’s fan. First sporting event I ever attended was an O’s-Royals game in 1991 at Memorial Stadium. I was 4, Camden Yards hadn’t even opened yet. Been a real fun summer!

Hell yeah, brother. I was going to O's games at Memorial in the 70s, 80s and 90s, haha. Saw a few Colts games there as well.

Camden Yards is still one of the best stadiums in all of baseball. Memorial..... Was not that. :)

And Tommy Lasorda. I never thought Walter Alston could be replaced but the Dodgers had the right guy the entire time.

The greatest real estate deal in American History? Some people feel it was the Louisiana Purchase, others the purchase of Manhattan Island, me, it was Walter O'Malley getting 352 acres free from Southern California for moving his team to Los Angeles.

Why is that strange? You think McVay is going to tell the truth 100% of the time up there?

This idea that he was being honest about Kupp’s injury and Jourdan was fishing for headlines is one of the most insane things I’ve ever read on this board.

Coop was gonna play next week. Now he’s not. That’s a setback. Calling it anything else is sticking your head in the sand fandom.

Whoa dude. Slow your role....I never said she was fishing for headlines.

Again...I don't care about the definition of setback vs. muscle strain vs. anything else. My whole point is she's slowly (and I have emphasized slowly) becoming a sensationalist beat reporter b/c she's interviewing the coach, getting his actual responses, and posting alternate words (and in the Joe Noteboom case leaving the entire context out). Which all read and come across negative.

If someone interviewed you, gave a response, and then that person posted something else you wouldn't take a second look?

.

My money league is 2 nights away and I need some freaking clarification. I was all in on Kupp at #3 but now I'm freaking out. Why is everything always so freaking difficult?

Yes, I'm stressed.

.
Go with Chase. Then Jefferson. Then Tyreek. It’s a tough year to figure out how Rams players will do.

No, she's not.

She is to me. That's how I'm reading them recently.

Not of fan of reporting and tweets that aren't in context or twisted word. I don't care who it is. I already have a couple examples of those. Hopefully she stops bc she's better than this.

Walter Alston was Manager and Tommy Lasorda was third base coach when I was first a fan. I still remember Ferguson playing outfield and seeing him throwing out a guy at the plate...One of the most amazing things I saw, until Gibby hit that homerun in 1988.

This is a dumb argument but it was McVay who was twisting words. Not Jourdan. Her reporting on this story has been accurate. Kupp missing practice time this week to see a specialist halfway across the country is a pretty good indication that this isn’t simply a day to day issue. McVay can characterize and call it whatever he wants. But Jordan’s assessment of the situation is correct. Ian Rappaport says Kupp is likely not playing this week.

This may not be a "day to day" situation - but when you are paid$20M, $40M, $70M to practice your craft - then going across country for advice from a specialist, it may not be a a crisis event.

For me, it would be a major event - but if I had relatively unlimited amounts of cash, it might not be. Of course, for me - I'd just hang loose for 6 months... Kupp on the other hand, probably wants what is best for his career....

Nah, I'm set on bijan now. It makes everything else simple the rest of the way.

If Kupp starts next Sunday and has 100+ yards receiving, there will be a lot of people who will look silly having made presumptions.

If he sits, we’ll all be disappointed.

That’s pretty much all we can say at this point.

We need to stop saying we “overused” Kupp as an excuse. He just got hurt. We weren’t using him like Randy Moss, sending him deep every other play.

If he sits, it will confirm Jourdan’s reports that there was a setback.

Let’s revisit the timeline.

Kupp is a full go at training camp.

Kupp injures hamstring, sits for multiple weeks. Doesn’t practice.

Kupp returns to practice as a full participant and is expected to play week 1.

Kupp misses a practice. Rams say it’s a muscle strain and he’s day to day. Jourdan says it’s a setback and McVay reluctantly agrees.

It’s announced Kupp will be flying to Minnesota during the season opening game week to get his hammy looked at by a specialist to try and figure out why he keeps straining it. It’s reported by Ian Rappaport and others that he will likely miss game 1.

How can anyone read that timeline and think Jourdan is exaggerating or sensationalizing the situation?
