Gonna call it early.
This Rams draft class will be another very impactful class.. from top, to bottom.. well.. very bottom, we'll see.. but close!!

Verse and Fiske will be starters from game one and I have high expectations for them and nothing I've seen/read dissuades me from that.

Corum was the perfect running back for them to draft. Again.. all signs pointing to this being another pick they nailed.

Kamren Kinchens just looks like a baller.. all the practice stuff looks great and he seems to get it, immediately. He'll see the field a ton.. even if he's the third or 4th safety.

Brennan Jackson.. dealing with a little nick.. but he's gonna be an excellent 4th rusher.

Tyler Davis.. showed *plenty* in his first game, PFF score be damned. He showed some great recognition and solid explosion. A guy who will get snaps this year, for sure.

Joshua Karty... It's so nice to not worry about the kicking game!

Jordan Whittington... Nice!! Just a solid, solid football player who will contribute in many ways.. and make some plays at WR.

Beaux Limier looks like he'll play in this league to me.

KT is hurt, so, we'll see.

Looks to me like two day-one starters.. followed by two guys who are or will be starter-level players by end of year.. followed by guys who look like they can be solid rotation guys by the end of the year.. plus a kicker and Oline depth.

I love it. This organization knows what it wants in players.

Agreed.

Verse and Fiske should be day one starters, as you say.

Corum will get plenty of touches to rest Kyren and should be able to fill in if needed.

Kinchens is just a baller, and should be starting before too long.

Jackson and Davis are going to be solid pieces in the DL rotation.

Karty looks like he’s going to be a reliable kicker, although we will have to see how he deals with pressure situations. Still, he would have faced those in college.

Whittington is another out-and-out baller. Could be the steal of the draft… all teams included.

I have no doubt that Limmer could take over if Avila is unavailable. He looks quality.

Jury’s out on Leveston.

In five years’ time, we could well be looking back on this as being one of the greatest Rams drafts.

Yeah it looks even stronger than last year's draft, too, because you have an edge with great size at the top, and a DT who also looks like a difference maker. And then the same look from there, with shrewd picks who look like great fits.

Rams seem to be among the very best in the league right now in talent evaluation. And like last year's draft they probably won't hit on all the picks, but it feels right now like they might be damn close.

All this is with the understanding that drafts tend to look their best early. Still though. Last year's haul was the kind that got us to the playoffs and sped the rebuild. This year's should pair with it to give us a new window. We still have big concerns like LT and relying on Stafford to not fall apart. He does have hard miles. But still we're in great shape right now.

Biggest thing I've been pounding the table for for the last several drafts is a stud C. Looks like we're now 2 deep there. Great picks, great drafts, I think they're using voodoo in the scoring department.
If Speights makes the roster, that's the cherry on top, we really needed some more LB talent.

The thing is is The Rams develop there talent as well as any team in The NFL.
-The way The Rams have drafted & developed players in a lot of senses has unreal???? Still Mcvay has got to involved in let’s say the L.Brusss pick ? That Creed miss was HORRIBLE in the sense of finding that Center.Still there were 5 centers The Rams could have drafted that season.Brian Allen pick will ALWAYS eat at me.IMO John Sullivan was that GUY who was a WE player that meant so much to The Rams O’Line(Goff) & Austin Blythe will always be a STUD imo.He was a twinner over achiever. There is NO WAY he should have been a Starting Guard(RG),& The Rams didn’t address the problem. Anyway the story will always stay the same.

NOW moving away from Shelton & Allen was PERFECT!! Signing a nice LG & moving Avila to Center was really SMART!! Then finding Beaux who (squats 700lbs) is the only Ram to squat more than the punter was a find. KT getting injured only allows The Rams more time for next season to develop him without pressure.Funny how that always seems to work.

Saying last years draft & this year’s draft was better, you still have to look at THE BIG PICTURE.

Jared Verse was Mcvay’s first ever Round 1 draft choice.

Fiske was 2 second RD picks!!

Compare B. Young & K Turner to those 2 players ?? Basically Right side vs. Left side.

Mathias is going to get cut. Not a Hampton fan,but Mcvay likes him. It’s going to be interesting, but B. Jackson might be the better of the 2 ?

Just a random observation and this seems like as good a place as any to put it, Brennan Jackson looks like a god damn man on the sideline standing next to players I already knew were large individuals. When watching college highlights I thought he looked a bit lean on a lot of them but that dude has put in some major work it looks like. Dude is just a beast without pads on. We can really use someone like that on the end of the line so hopefully his injury doesn't keep him out too long.

I didn’t watch the game but from what I see and read the Rams have sufficient depth at all positions except CB and ILB (especially if EJones has any health issues). And we all know McSnead haven’t stopped with roster adds before the final 53.

I was in shock when I read about Limmer....guys who have god given talent that can't be taught should not fall that far in the draft. With some coaching that dude will be a monster

Had a doubt in Davis' impact early and Whittington's health. They both look damned good Sunday.

I honestly kept forgetting Davis's name, not anymore. Dude looked like a man possessed. Combine him with Fiske, KT and our edges? OMG this is going to be fun!

Huge fan of Speights back in January and was thrilled we got him as a UDFA. Guy is my type of LB, a bruiser, good range and speed and knows how to properly tackle.

Whittington was probably my biggest criticism of a pick, mostly for health reasons. Man I hope our coaching staff and McVay's type of player conditioning and care can preserve him for at least 4 years because if we have a reliable 3rd and 4th WR this offense is going to be crazy as hell this year!

Limmer being available that late. Unreal.
Now what? He’s stuck behind Avila and both Guards have signed on for a couple/three more years.

it's an embarassment of riches at the moment:
LG: J. Jackson / Avila
C: Avila / Limmer
RG: Dotson / Bruss (?)

With these interior blocking roadgraders, I see a nice year for rushing.
But as we all are, starting to get concerned about LT:
AJ Jackson / Boom
Really hope these two stay healthy.

You can never have too much talent. These last two draft classes will make cuts with practice squad pick back-ups difficult. I don't know which backup groups I'm most excited about. This by far, is becoming the best roster depth in a long time. I'm in the camp that this is a better draft class than last year. Having a number 1 pick helps but that is not the only reason. It all starts with both lines and edges. Snead and Co. have reshaped the Rams roster in a short time!

I'm approaching it with cautious optimism. Preseason won't tell us anything about Verse, Fiske and Corum. They won' play till the regular season. They do appear to be good picks. Fiske has been very disruptive. Verse is a beast. He can push back guys 50 pounds heavier than him. Corum is a Kyren clone and a little more breakaway speed.

As far as the guys that are playing in the preseason Tyler Davis has been impressive. Big, strong and good instincts. Jordan Whittington looks like the real deal. Another day 3 gem. At some point he will be the WR3. It all depends on when Stafford starts to trust him as much as the others. When Kupp is done it looks like our WR room is gonna be in good shape after all. Limmer looks like a keeper. If we lose any starters on the offensive line I'm feeling a little better about the depth now.
