I hate the Chiefs. They drafted Bolton and Humphrey with their second round picks (Bolton went just after we took Atwell. Just incredibly frustrating.

But to blame McVay? Nah. Every team - literally every team in every sport - makes mistakes with drafting. And we've been one of the best with the some of the least to work with.

Unless the OP is secretly hoping for the lovechild of Spitnuolo and Loserhan to come back and deliver us into a thousand years of darkness?

The thing that got me with the Atwell pick was having DeSean.Jackson.Then again he is learning from the best.

One thing I believe is that he will benefit with Robert Woods being hurt
& having time to mentor while they rehabing. We not me

He's light years ahead of the last 3 coaches we've had, maybe even the last 4 since Martz left a big fucking mess. He has the potential to become one of the all-time greats if he can learn a little impulse control and gameplan/call plays to do whatever it takes to win instead of sometimes trying to win the way he wants to win. Basically, just take what the other team is giving you, and make timely adjustments when necessary. When he gets consistent in that (and he can do so this year), that's when he'll start giving victory speeches in February.
Yeah, McVay and Staley are twins in that matter. Staley was going to convert a forth down last night or die trying!
(His funeral is this weekend.):laugh4:

Seriously, The Rams are having one of there best seasons with 2 potential HOF players they just picked up.

The reason player want to come to LA & The Rams ? Sean Mcvay and his coaching staff.

Did the poster see Ernest Jones have his third INT this season ?

Ben Sko is looking better than Josh Reynolds his rookie year.Wait until the Playoffs. He just keeps getting better.

Coleman Shelton has had more pancakes than Creed at least on the field these last 2 weeks.

Matt Gay ? Really… Les Snead doesn’t get any credit for getting a draft pick for a Punter who is actually better than Johnny Hekker right now.Didn’t Les Snead draft Greg the Leg & pick Johnny up as a UDRFA his first year as GM with The Rams. He replaced 2 All Pro’s in Brown the wife beater & Donnie Jones.

Bones needed to go & Staley got a HC with the Chargers after only 1 season under Sean Mcvay adding to his coaching tree.

It’s post like these that makes me scratch my head if some Fans have issues other than cheering for The Rams. I know as a long time Rams fan,I have my own,but also appreciate a solid Franchise that continues to have a bright future.

I won’t say I won’t have drafted Creed, I actually liked him coming out.The Rams have some Oklahoma roots.I blame Shula actually (lol) & being stuck with Bobby Evans. Actually it’s all good & respect the poster view.Just totally disagree with it if he’s blaming Sean Mcvay as The Rams head coach.

I thought the thread title would be about McVay's game management. Too many time-outs used early. Slow in-game adjustments. Calling deep routes when only needing five yards or so for a first down. Long developing plays when Rams O Line is struggling. The lack of run game at times. A little over-emotional at times and going for it on 4th and short well inside the Rams side of the field. I wonder about the lack of practice time for many players and weekly motivation.

I guess not.

Being a Head Coach in the NFL is a difficult job. This week the long pass call to Jefferson worked out for a big TD early in the second half. McVay has adjusted to making the running game more of a priority. He seemed to make all the right calls. I hope he keeps doing what he has been the past two weeks. I hope he stays focused and keeps the team focused. The Rams have given up a lot to make a run at this year's Super Bowl. It's coming down to crunch time for McVay and the Rams.

Go Rams!!!!!

Here's all you need to know about Sean McVay
Among active head coaches
3rd highest win %
9th longest tenure (likely move to 8 after Zimmer gets fired)
All while STILL the YOUNGEST Head Coach
That's some lethal combo!
i only see LaFleur ahead of him...

Profootball Referenec has McVay number #1 active as lafleur doesnt qualify.

True, after trading away our top picks every year, we've done very well with our picks #4 thru #7. Earnest Jones is one of our latest examples. Atwell was perhaps a mistake - at least so far.

In hindsight. if we had used a top 10 #1 pick on Kupp I would still be applauding that selection today.

I don't post often on here, so when I do, it is often a serious discussion.

Lolz. Well I guess we should all be super thankful for you bringing us this "serious discussion" this season. Sounds more like someone who can't get over things (Creed, 2018 SB loss), dropping a whaaaahhhh burger of a thread and dipping out.

"admins, please don't merge my precious, completely unique, yet serious discussion threads.":eyeroll:

I agree.
I always struggle with the idea that Vermeil is the franchise best coach, solely due to the SB win. I mean, he had a worse record than Rich Brooks thru his first 2 seasons, and Brooks is in the conversation of worst ever. I only rate based on guys who I saw coach, so McVay is the top in my book now.
1. McVay
2. Martz
3. Robinson
4. Vermeil
you can't leave out Chuck Knox the first time not the second. He had us in the playoffs every year. He just didn't know how to adjust in the playoffs.

La Fleur has Arron Rodgers. The best QB in the league. Makes a huge difference.

I’m wondering if Floyd ever found his jock in GB,then again go look at Ramsey’s last 2 games there.
Aaron Rogers is a HOF QB in my mind.Probably actually a better QB than BF? BF though was pretty great & a tough sob.His arm strength was out the doom.

I only go by what I’ve seen. Knox 1.0 was before my time
The Knox I knew from Buffalo, Seattle and Rams 2.0 was basically Jeff Fisher

Well he definitely was better the JF. Way more disciplined. He won 5 straight divisions. Definitely not that 7 and 9 Bullshit.
