Brutal.
Devastating loss.
The Rams greatly reduced their Super Bowl odds and put themselves at the base of a hill to climb.
The week off, assuming the Rams would have won out, with a bye would be huge for player healing up and Stafford resting etc.
The Rams are rarely out of a game because of their offense.
Because of their defense and approach on defense, the Rams opponents are never out of a game either.
The special teams were - 10 points tonight. Also had a false start on a kick that the Rams were damn lucky went through so they got another shot. The special teams play is not acceptable.
Terrible.
The Rams had their normal string of three and outs that happen, seemingly, the second half of most games. Seattle is a tough place to play an a top defense, so, no surprise there.
Losing Dotson is a huge loss.
I don't think the play calling was soft.....the Rams kept passing. However, the TEs who have been excellent, had 5 or 6 drops and the OL started getting pushed around for most of the second half.
As soon as Mevis missed his FG (shocking) I think we all knew what was coming.
You cant treat every team like they are the Cardinals. Good teams and good coaches will make you pay.
This was a huge opportunity....massive to take a big step toward the Super Bowl and the Rams, at the end of the day, shit the bed.
There are no complete teams in the NFL this year.
The Rams aren't far away but their special teams are the worst in the NFL.....maybe the worst in the recent NFL history.
If the pass rush isn't working the defense is blah.
Good against the run the back end of the defensive will be exposed and taken advantage of by a pocket passer.
Its why (and familiarity) the Atlanta game will not be easy.
The Panthers loss and this come back really show how vulnerable the Rams are.
Blowing a 16 point lead with 8 minutes left is not excusable. Not for a team with Super Bowl ambitions.
Seattle outscored the Rams 24-7 from 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter on.
Mindboggling.
I know Young has been dealing with an injury but he and Verse were mostly invisible rushing the passer last night.....with a back up LT.
There is a very real chance SF ends up with the 1 seed.
I don't want to see the Whiners, Seahawks, Packers or Eagles in the playoffs.
The Rams can beat all of those teams....but, they can lose to all of the them as well. The Rams D doesn't scare anyone anymore, thats for sure.
Against offenses that are balanced with pocket passers they will give up plenty....65 points (not counting the punt return) in the last two weeks against offenses like that......not good.
This was a choke of chokes. A complete choke job. So, once again, now with an injured wr and two backups on the OL, we will see what the Rams are made of.
Also, Puka is not bright.
