Rams are the best team in the league with an incredible ability to throw games away... The only game we lost that I felt was a "deserved" or earned loss was the fucking Panthers lol.

Also.....look at two of the Rams losses this year.....SF and Seattle.
Those games alone should keep Shula from getting HC looks.
Those are two of the most brutal, unacceptable losses in the McVay era. You just cant lose to divisional rivals like that.
I think both of those land squarely at the feet of Shula.
Shula for sure has a Shanny problem as he cant stop his offense.

If you throw games away, how can you be the best team in the league?
Its like a fighter with tons and tons of talent who loses focus and ends up with a 20-8 record....it means nothing.

I appreciate the explanation. I still call bullshit. All the other players stopped because they reasonably believed the play was dead. Charbonnet walking his ass over and picking it up after the whistle should not qualify as "immediate continuing action." If the whistle hadn't blown and the refs let it play out, I'd feel differently.
They need to clean that rule up.

Refs had no clue it was backward until replay. All whistles blew and action had stopped.

We’ll be replaying every freaking play. Can’t do that.

So you think it's Shulas fault the offense on its last five possessions resulted in four punts and a missed field goal???? Hmmmmm

God this is such ass. Stafford and Puka gave it their all. Our TEs are not good enough. Too many drops. Defense was all playcalling. We started playing soft and let them climb back. Those stupid calls didn't help us one bit. God dammit. This feels like a kick to the fucking heart. Also, when the fuck did our fan base get so god damn negative. All I see is bullshit fans saying we ain't good enough. We are the best team in the NFL. I still believe that. Now we just have to win the fucking hard way. Damn.

True words brother but it’s easy to rag on McVay rather than the execution and accepting Seattle’s D came to life, for three series, when we had been handing them their lunch all game long up to then
It is called momentum and it is real. Because we went 3 and out when we had them down from the INT. They got a huge boost of adrenaline from the punt return.

Because the other teams have far more blatant and likely to show up flaws than the Rams do. No such thing as perfect but I'll take "loses games you should win" over having Sam Darnold as my Quarterback, Jalen Hurts and incompetent coaching, horrible run defense like the Bills etc... any day of the week

To reflect how the Rams are viewed, go look at the betting odds to win the Superbowl. We're still favourites even though we're likely on the road for the playoffs.

I never said Shulas defense played great and wasn't at fault, but you stated it was "all on him"....
I said those games rest at his feet.
I believe that.
Look at that Whiners game....they couldn't get a stop if their life depended on it against back ups for most of the game.
It might be a mix of personal or scheme but, the Rams have to score a lot to beat these teams in most cases.
Also....you were being hyperbolic, so, I was as well.

There are no complete teams this year that is for sure.
The Rams have a good shot, the odds went down last night.

Let me just be crystal clear...

The mother fucking whistle was blown on that 2 point play. Period. Undeniable proof has already been posted.

That means the fucking play was dead. No review or replay can be used to change that play after the whistle was blown. Think about how many plays have been totally fucked by whistles being blown (even inadvertently) making the results of the play completely void.

It's obvious to me that the broadcast asshats were then instructed not to replay the play on air because the sound of the whistle would have been clear as a bell. So... mysteriously, when the kickoff was about to happen... Al Michaels makes the bold statement that "No whistles were blown". Like I said though, they purposefully did not show the replay that would have proven the clear sound of the whistle. BTW, as soon as it was blown, you can see our players not even attempting a recovery because they clearly heard the whistle.

Now... we have the replay for the world to see and HEAR the whistle being blown. After watching it, it should enrage football fans everywhere because it shows how the league and the broadcast crew worked together to try and keep the truth away from the peasant fans.

I'm sure the league has forced all teams to just go along with this kind of shit... otherwise, any coach worth a single fuck would be out on the stage screaming for justice. There used to be a time in this league when coaches would call out the refs for shit like this and the league would actually respond. Those days are long gone now because the league is obviously involved with this corruption... they're not going to tell on themselves.

Explosion Remain Calm GIF

This shit should be the leading news story right now... not just in sports... leading all news stories. Nothing but crickets though. When you own the media throughout the world, you can basically write history however you would like to.
Here is the part being argued and let me be clear I agree with you, shenanigans again.
"When an on-field ruling is incomplete, and the pass was clearly backward, the ruling of incomplete will stand if there is no clear recovery in the immediate continuing action. If there is no clear recovery, the ball will be awarded to the team last in possession at the spot where possession was lost."

My first take when I see this is in the "Immediate continuing action" there was no urgency and no Immediate action it was a leisurely picking up of the ball.

The lost art of announcing was in full glory last night.
Michaels & Herbstreit are there to provide total commentary. When play was delayed to review the 2 point play, they didnt even consider whether the whistle blew. Michaels said at one point after several minutes that it had, but the possibility of wasnt even discussed.
What really confuses me is why McVay wasnt going absolutely ape-shit over it, demanding they review for the whistle
It was clearly a backwards pass and a fumble but the whistle had blown. I wish I could have recorded the game to try and get a look at the refs to see if any were waving arms as well
